One can always make the case that it can also be played on VSTis and a MIDI keyboard but nothing beats playing on dedicated hardware that has all their features tailored for it.

RetroSound always on the right track ! 👍 In this piece for 42 years I have always been fascinated by the string chords of Rod Temperton JP 8 at the beginning. it gives a fantastic dark and mysterious atmosphere ... I have always tried to reproduce that on all my synths with more or less success ...

Great track, brings back lots of memories for me this track back in the day. Love the demo you made here and just love the Roland juno in this. Even the Emulator got a look in on this demo. But as always fantastic demo you done here. Thanks for sharing this great track and the beautiful synths in your collection with us.

Thank you Michael for your kind words and the feedback to my last video. A very complex song with a lot sounds. It was hard work. The Juno sounds really Jupiter like here. A wonderful synth. So versatile. Happy weekend,

@@retrosound72I’m really tempted to get a hardware sampler (the software ones just piss me off!). Is the emulator worth the $5k or more price tag, or would a cheaper akai rack sampler from roughly the same era (I’m thinking s1000) do the job much better for FAR less money?

I was just listening to Michael’s original version of this song last night, mainly reflecting on the life of Quincy Jones. *Thriller* came out when I was two, and I first remember listening to it when I was three. It’s hard to believe that the original music video for the title song was shot 40 years ago. I’d like to know what you attached the OB Xk to.
@retrosound72Ай бұрын
A big classic and very complex song. A masterpiece. Thank you for your feedback 👍
@Shred_The_WeaponАй бұрын
For surely, RS Is the OB XK. connected here to an MKS-20 module? I think I’ve commented before that I’ve been obsessed with that model for a few years, since I found the equivalent of the “Piano 3” preset on my VR-09.
