Michael Jackson Unveiling Wax Model at Madame Tussuds in London,1985

On March 28, 1985, at the height of his music career, Michael Jackson was invited to unveil his wax model at Madame Tussuds in Marylebone, London. It was his first solo public visit since the Jackson Five tour in the late 1970's. London was brought to a standstill as thousand of fans gathered in the street hoping to get a glimpse of him.
After the museum visit, Michael climbed onto the roof of his chauffeured car and waved to all the adoring fans before leaving. Later it was said that he was billed £2,000 to cover the cost of damaged paintwork!

It's amazing how much respect Michael showed his fans.. he cared that they wanted to see him and climbed up on his car and waved to everyone who had been gathered there for long so they could all see him and he could acknowledge their love.. He had a very humble and thankful attitude and he cared about and respected his fans. most celebrities don't bother and just ignore their fans.

And I thought I was going to be crushed to death by thousands of mostly teenage girls trying to get to him. My back was covered in bruises the next day. +Maha Bubble Yes I got to see Michael 3 times in his lifetime. There in 85. Again when he toured in 88 at Wembley. And just months before he died when he came over to announce dates for his ill fated this is it tour. Back then we were all still on a high from the magic of the Thriller album and the success that he enjoyed from that album was unprecedented. And nobody will ever top it.

All of the pain and anguish Michael had to endure from 1993 till he passed are exceedingly tragic; I still cry every day and night over his passing. The tribulations and persecutions were too much for the average person to bear. However, watching all his videos from years back has made me less surprised. It was bound to happen. Michael was too much of a force to be reckoned with. Being a black man, there was definitely no way he was going to sit on his white horse in peace; hence the character assassination. Michael, Rest in Peace! There'll never be another Michael Jackson.
