Part 1: • Michael Jai White Isn'...
--------
In this clip, Michael Jai White checks stereotypes associated with 'the streets.' Vlad's comments suggested that street involvement often involves gang connections and criminal activities, while security offers a safer alternative. White, drawing from his own experience, emphasized that living on the streets doesn't necessitate illegal behaviors. He discussed the thrill of the street culture and its vibrant allure. He acknowledged the allure of occasional participation in street life, but highlighted the importance of striking balance and remembering future implications. He also noted that not everyone on the streets necessarily indulges in illegal activities, addressing misconceptions often held about "the streets." Furthermore, the actor stressed that wealth amplifies an individual's personal tendencies, it doesn't have to lead to extravagant or unlawful lifestyles as commonly portrayed.

Most street life dudes grow out of it like anyone else grows (suburbs, rural etc). Its the one who dont begin to grow out of it in late 20's early 30's that end up being the older criminals. small % but still all the nerds see on tv news, movies etc. If everyone in the hood (or majority) was a criminal or killer there would be NO ONE walking around. Common sense go's a long way. There is indeed a time limit. Again...well said indeed. It is a bit fun as a younger person...AND it is NOT fun as one gets older and wiser.

Grew up between the Bronx & Mt Vernon in the 2000s , there’s a reason why Mt Vernon was called “MurdaVille” back then. Some of the gangs that were beefing were dropping bodies damn near every week/every other week. My family and I had to go through a police checkpoint just to go to church every Sunday. Vlad talking about Mount Vernon like it’s soft is nasty work. It’s literally right on the border of the BX, and not the nice part of the X.

Michael is so right. Guys in the street calls me Zu. I grew up in rural south jersey. I’m 20 minutes outside of Philly. I used to go to North Philly and act just like everyone else. Used to go to this club called the Palmer’s and stand right next to Allan Iverson. I have a Masters degree and has worked in the mental health field for 25 years. I’m not a street dude but like Michael says it’s fun to swing to the hood and be with my people. I can’t get that cultural experience in South Jersey. We barely see black women and there’s very few places that all black people go. You have to go to the city to be around ya people

I understand what Vlad is saying here about Puff Daddy being a suburban kid who got intoxicated by the street life. People gotta realize that when guys like Denzel, Puff, Al B Sure and Heavy D were growing up in Mt. Vernon in the late sixties throughout the late eighties that was a very middle class town with nice modest homes and tree line streets. This is undeniable. Just like Compton was a suburban area 40 years ago when guys like Suge Knight were coming up. All the guys mentioned were college educated kids from suburban middle class families who chose to get involved with the streets. However, those wannabes can become very dangerous if you don’t check them early on. Michael is definitely on point too with his take.
