To be fair, that doesn’t mean she’s not male or intersex. I’m Not saying she’s intersex or male, but if she was, it would possibly be unbeknownst to her. Intersex is not the same as trans. There is a condition where a person presents as female at birth and has female looking outer reproductive organs, but that’s because the male ones never fully formed at birth. They go their whole lives as female until puberty, where they start taking on male characteristics. They get a surge or testosterone. What’s causing that? Internal tested which they never knew they had, until they’re tested. What else do they have? XY chromosomes, which males have at conception, and women don’t have this. This is what happened to Caster Semenya. She did nothing wrong and didn’t change her sex/gender to compete as a woman (like someone who’s trans might). She was born looking like a female, then later, while competing on the world stage, she found out she had super high testosterone for a woman, XY chromosomes, and internal testes which is producing that testosterone and giving her a male phenotype and a deep voice. So this could happen to someone from Algeria, and they’d have no idea, until they’re tested. So just because they’re from a country that would put them to death, doesn’t mean they’re not intersex or biologically male. Let’s not forget that a boxing organization (IBA) said she was failed two gender tests, and they found out she had high testosterone. Who knows if they’re telling the truth. Perhaps tests should be run on all athletes to make sure no one pretending to be a certain sex don’t make it through in the wrong division, and so people unknowingly with unfair advantages also compete in the correct division. It would also take the discrimination out, where they only test people who look male and are dominant against women in their sport. Maybe it’s too expensive to do for everyone. Also, some biological males can lose to women. Fallon Fox, an MMA fighter who was born male and fought against women without taking them they were born male would destroy women, but also lost to a woman before, so losing to a woman doesn’t mean you’re not male or intersex.
