Everyone has their Kobe toughness memory, for me the 2008 finals loss to the Celtics was the toughness moment for me, watching Kobe cry while walking off the court in game 6, after everyone saying he can’t win without Shaq, and then to come back the next year in 2009 and absolutely tear it up and win it all. He’s had physically tough moments, but him coming back from 08 finals loss and winning back to back is the epitome of his being!

Kobe didn't just want to be like Jordon, Kobe wanted to be the best to ever play the game. and he thought that learning from Jordon would help him become that. and training relentlessly would make him even better than Jordon ever was. and I do think that Kobe at his best was maybe even better than Jordon. like in the playoffs when the Lakers swept a very good Spurs team. Kobe was just amazing, and winning two titles with Gasol who wasn't at the level of a Scottie Pippin. Personally I think Kobe and Jordon were both amazing and I can't really put one above the other. every great player is great because of the players that came before them. and that is why basketball players of today are better than basketball players of the past. but I wish the game could somehow figure out a way to make the two point jump shot relevant again. and I think some of the old way of playing and rules were better. now its all cut to the basket and dish out to the three point shooter. Go Lakers
