Actually they did make sleeves and holders for the longer cards. I actually have football and basketball sets all in sleeves. Been collecting cards and memorabilia since 1970. I’ve seen it all and still have most all of it in my collections from then and now. Like your content and keep searching.👍

Man does this bring back memories. To when all cards were extremely dull and plain looking. Like hey, this year let's do all white with blue lines around the border! Wait no, let's take it a step further....let's do the team color for the line! GENIUS! No creativity whatsoever. I remember when inserts were all the rave. Those days are lonnnnnnnng gone. Now inserts are worth less than the base. When I recently got back into collecting I bought so many inserts and jersey/relic cards, Thinking I was striking gold! 😂 man did I find out fast just how wrong I was.

Yeah it’s weird how inserts have become less desirable. And card sets these days are typically cooler, but 1991 SkyBox is actually my favorite set of all time.
