Now a days, sure when Kobe and LeBron retire they'll get standing ovations and people will honor them, but not to the degree that they honored and still honor MJ. When i was younger and my father was explaining what this meant to me i was way too young. I didn't understand what this meant. But now as i look back to see this video i realize that this was more then just any other final game. It was the last battle he fought the last game in the nba he would ever play. Just watching it brought me to tears thinking about what i had learned from the time this happened to now. It was the end of the greatest player ever.

when i tell people about Michael Jordan's last game, how they got ray clay to announce him in, the crowd chant for him to come back forr a couple more plays, the long ovations before and after the game, the curtain call, the opposing coach, Larry Brown calling a timeout so the crowd can give him a longer ovation, i get emotional after seeing this vid and along with the song, a tear rolled down. his impact was overwhelming. That was such an emotional thing for me to see as a native Chicagoan. He was the first person I ever saw as a hero. I grew up on the Bulls. Nobody will ever take his place. Not Kobe, not Lebron, nobody.
