I just found your OCMD videos, been working my way through them for the past few days. Thanks for doing these updates. I especially like the drone footage. In some ways, I don't want to know how much OC has changed because I want to remember it the way it was when I lived there. But, watching your videos brings back a lot of good memories. Most of the best memories of my life were from my time in Ocean City, MD. Thank you for doing these! Great camera work and narration!

Ashley and I (before kids) spent just about, and I'm not kidding, every weekend in PA in the winters skiing. We had an absolute blast!! We want to do it again but it would have to be a weekend long event with the kids. Hope you guys have a great trip down in September, if you see us say hi!

@@JayReneeFree Lived in Pa my entire life and the only time I took a trip was 60 years ago with the Boy Scouts for a fun week at Camp Hart. Never did good catching fish at freshwater & not into hunting. We always went to Wildwood for vacation then 25 years ago switched to cleaner, quieter, way better restaurants at OC MD.

My Mom's really good friends have a boat slip in that Mariana for their Ricky Scarborough yacht. They also fish the White Marlin Open every year. A few years ago my Mom met MJ at the local bar while he was there visiting with other boat captains. They've usually got the pier that MJ's boat is on locked down - only ones that can access it are the ones with slips. The boat that won for largest Blue Marlin this year had one of my Dad's old drinking buddies on it. His wife was my PE teacher in elementary school LOL small world!!

Awesome vid! If you come up to Gettysburg if you like bass fishing try Lake Marburg or Long Arm reservoir. I am about 5 minutes from both if you want to know some good spots!

Haven't been there in years but cops in OC used to station a motor unit every six blocks along Ocean Highway for traffic enforcement. Learned that from one of their summer hires.

Became good friends with a local a few years back. Turns out that local’s family owns the Atlantic hotel and she had us down this past summer for free and demanded we go out and see the boats opening day because she somehow has never seen it. Called us up at 430am dragged our asses to the end of the pier annnnnnd we couldn’t see anything because it was so foggy lol. Also as a north eastern Pennsylvania resident I HIGHLY recommend you skip Hershey park and you go to Knobles. It’s basically Hershey park but free to enter with fantastic food that’s much more affordable. I live about 45min from both parks and I’d choose knobles 9 times out of 10.

When I was in OCMD for memorial weekend it was kinda empty compared to past seasons. Beach wasn’t that full, the motel I stay at had rooms available the whole weekend(memorial weekend) even went to Fish Tales on a Saturday night around 9-9:30 n was able to pick any seat I wanted at the bar… I will be down for Labor Day weekend, n I can’t wait… only bad thing, my opinion that’s mean the end of the season is near😢

Yes!! Memorial Day was eeeeeeeeerie. It felt a lot like the off season, hardly anyone was here. We all have the same feeling about Labor Day, even living here I feel the same way! It's the official end of summer and life goes back to normal-kids in school, sports, weather changing. Hope you have a great trip and enjoy your time!

Lots to do in PA. Don’t bother with Hershey Park. A big waste of money. Go to Knoebels instead. It’s free admission and parking and you can pay per ride or get bands to ride all day. And there is a RV water park not far away that’s a lot of fun. Or if you want to stay more to the east there is the King of Prussia mall, Top Golf is nearby the mall and they have ifly near there too which is an indoor skydiving place. And so much more…..

Jay, thanks for the vid. I’m ready to recommend a psychologist to you as I think you need your head examined going into Ocean City on a Saturday afternoon in August 😂😂😂. The Italian Air Force team is called Frecce Tricolori. They are highly regarded. It’s actually cool that they will be here. It’s been 30 years since they have been to the states. BTW since you are Mr. Ocean City real estate gossip (😂😂😂) have you heard anything about what’s going on with the Giant that’s supposed to go in on route 50 out by Racetrsck Road? I think they were having some water and sewer hassles with the county but I haven’t heard whether they got those squared away or not. Also, any updates on the whiskers restaurant in OP being converted to a Mediterranean restaurant by the people that own the Spain bar? Kalamata is a very good restaurant but I’d have to say I like the Spain bar🤤 a little bit better but it’s hard to get in there during the high season. But not to ding Kalamata as the food is very good there too.👍

Rule #1....don't go out on a saturday! HAHA I haven't heard anything about the Giant, it seemed like the plans were going along and then it stopped. I never really put any trust into it until they start building. It reminds me of the old chicken plant in Berlin that's changed ideas 1 million times. The Whiskers in OP...theya re currently doing work on it now. I don't know when they will be opening, but it seemed like they were moving pretty quickly. Spain seems wildly popular, my sister in law loves it there.

Did a google search. They stated that one 82' Yacht had a 3,000 gallon fuel tank snd weights 162,250 pounds. A Viking 80 only holds 2,200 gallons of fuel. Guess if you are a billonaire would be no problem shelling out over $100,000 to fill up. Glad Jordan is enjoying himself.

@@ReelJayB Five of us went out years ago on a coworkers old 29' wood boat. We offered to fill his gas tank up . He said just fill one of them. Each tank held 90 gallons and think it took over 70 gallons to fill it.( He used it the day before without filling up ) Of course after we spent all day fishing and might have caught a total of two keeper flounders we busted his chops by saying would have been a lot cheaper going on a head boat and surely would have caught more fish. Love boats but wow they are not cheap.

FYI- In the Food Lion shopping center, about 120th. St., owner Ron Singer is turning his Leon’s At The Beach into the “Cha Cha Cantina”- He realizes that a LGBTQ bar in Ocean City can’t make it. Prior to Singer’s ownership it was Whiskers.

He has changed the signage on the exterior front- He writes on his Facebook account that it was not a successful venture, however he claims “it was the first gay bar in Ocean City”. He is the owner of Leon’s in Baltimore, also a gay bar. I think he misjudged the Ocean City market. He purchased Whiskers about 18 months ago for around $400k ( no real estate transferred with the sale), another misjudgment.
