MJ only got better in the play offs and again only got even better in the finals. In fact, MJ never had a series where he wasn't the best player on the court. The GOAT.

Facts - and the whole team took it to another level as soon as the playoffs started (every year) - people always saying how MJ could turn it on and turn it off whenever he got ready, but the Bulls team was the same way - they would come out sleep walking for 2 and a half quarters then all of a sudden turn it on towards the end of the 3rd quarter and erase a 15 point deficit then go on to win the game by 10 points

Jordan didn't really care about his stat sheet. He just wanted to destroy anyone in front of him at their own game: i.e. Magic in assists, Clyde w/ 3pointers, Barkley and Mailman as MVPs
@LL-zm9go

Complete lie. Jordan was obsessed with stats, to the point he would want to know exactly where he stood during the game when he would check back in at the scores table. This couldn’t be further from the truth, he was fanatical about his stats, especially during the 1988 DPOY race where CHI stat keeper padded his stats- verified in the new report. Enjoy :)

For all my mathletic friends out there, you'll appreciate this. Jordan was so great, that he essentially won the GOAT title TWICE! After his first three peat n retirement he was the greatest the game ever offered. Then he comes back in Ricky Henderson's body and loses against an upstart Orlando team. This could have broken any other player. He could have easily said "you know what, I should have stayed retired". Nah. Instead, he determined to win a championship a year later. The man ended up threepeating AGAIN which, and here it is my mathletes, he essentially went back to back 4 times in his career. NO ONE in the modern era has EVER even come close to this feat. MJ isn't on Mt. Rushmore. He's on Mt. Everest all by his lonesome!! He is the GREATEST OF ALL TIME and anyone with a brain and two eyes will tell you the same. All others are simply delusional or have a serious hatred towards MJ for beating their favorite teams/players.

"The shrug." 55 & a game winner over Chuck. Reclaiming the mountain top on Father's Day, after leaving the league when his father was killed (I'm not crying, you're crying). Jordan's jump's defies the law of physics imo because he could hang in the air longer than most. Of course this can be debunked because in reality he didn't hang any longer than anyone else in the air. But he damn sure made it look like he could and to a certain degree he could do a-lot of things that most couldn't do or wouldn't try to do because they either couldn't or didn't want to look foolish by failing to do it. Jordan didn't fear a challenge or overexposure, he relinquished it and always looked for new challenges because that's the type of drive that he had. That's the type of player that he was and that was the type of person Michael Jeffrey Jordan was about.

Thank goodness that Phil Jackson & Scottie Pippen were in CHI then, otherwise, Jordan would be remembered as simply just a smaller version of Dr. J. He couldn't win until they got there.

the 1997 jazz led by star karl malone won two games over the bulls by a COMBINED 16 points and lost four games by a COMBINED 20 points allowing 32.3 points per game from michael jordan in my OPINION the teams that played the bulls the best in the finals were the #1 1997 jazz a REALLY close #2 TIED 1993 suns and 1996 sonics a DISTANT #3 1998 jazz #4 1992 blazers and #5 1991 lakers in my OPINION the assists from legend magic johnson didn't equal the points from michael jordan

Of course he won 6 in that watered down expansion league where he didn't face any competition.

Yeah cuz right now it's just watered up. Most defensive league ever.

That's funny because the league today is watered down to protect it's player's from fighting, hard fouls, flagrant fouls reaching in and hand checking, that's just a few to mention. That's what they had to contest with back then. Jordan made the league look weak because he and the bulls where so dominant, so dominant that Jordan never went to a game 7 in the finals. So don't come here with that crap because no one is going to eat it, unless you're a lebum fanboy'. Stop reaching because no matter what today's player's would get squashed by the 80's and 90's NBA players.

@@jdmintegradp I'm not a LeBron fan even Larry bird and Dr J said the 90s was watered down. Don't get mad at me because it's facts and yes today's league is soft. 80s basketball was much better than the 90s

@@theoneandonlykyle9800 no it wasn't. The west was weaker in the 80's than the 90's and the east was nigh equal in the 90's to the 80's. The watered down arg only proves that the league could have been better. Not that it was bad.

Michael Jordan truly didn't care about his stat sheet. Jordans trainer, Tim Grover said in an interview (link below), that Jordan had a 2nd stats sheet with his missed shots/free throws, fouls he committed and turnovers, etc... He said thst stat sheet with what he accomplished was what he was supposed to do (score , rebound, make his teammates better, etc.) and didn't want to be acknowledged for doing is job Link below to the interview kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6LNiGipo6pqnbMsi=45iVPfsbMa64voGI
