This is why us 40 year olds and older respected the old school because they taught if you listened and here MJ was a young man and was like Kobe just soaking up information like a sponge.
@faronanderson25365 ай бұрын
I agree with you 💯%. I'm 49, and I still seek the approval and guidance of those who inspired me who are older and more wise. You can't go wrong. They were kickin' it big time before I ever was. Respect 🙏 🫡. Sadly, though, you do get young, know it all's who think they know everything and don't want to listen to sound advice then fall flat on their face when the pressures on. I've seen it time and time again, but I still help them get up. I guess you learn one way or the other. I, myself prefer to take wise advice everytime it's available. My ego doesn't ride that high to pass up on golden opportunities for wisdom.

Basketball aficionados, like myself, have an affinity for NBA greats who played prior to the 1980s era-present. There are many great big men, like Nate, Wilt went up against on a nightly basis, but you have so many misinformed modern-day fanboys constantly regurgitating that nonsense about 6'6" white dudes, which is far from the truth. They're absolutely brainwashed from the sports engine in ESPN, for example, which came into play in 1979, and is no coincidence lol

We all know MJ is vicious on the court against his opponents, but at the same time he constantly never says he was the GOAT because he had tremendous respect for all his predecessors as he never had the chance to play against them. This old clip validates that he has been consistent on his views from the early days.
@billj45255 ай бұрын
Yeah saying he's the GOAT was not his style. MJ proved it easily. MJ spoke on the court.

Ali called himself the Greatest even though there were great boxers before him ! He was 22 ys old!!! Ali didn't care if people didn't like his confidence and the things he said in beating older great champs. He talked junk ! He didn't need any of them to teach him pointers how to box or give him advice !! Yet, he was loved by all.

People don't remember this because of how he was later in his career, but MJ was a very humble and respectful young player to the veteran stars of his time. Only when it was undeniable (through wins, multiple individual stat records and NBA awards) that he had earned his clout did he start mouthing off and trash talking.
