Thank you, Don. I can’t speak for other fans, but I don’t think he deserves to be booed because he doesn’t spend enough, he deserves to be booed because he’s given Cashman virtually a lifetime appointment as GM and refuses to consider moving in a different direction.

Cashman and his analyst team are what's wrong with the team and by extension Hal gets booed bc he falls for Cashman's pitch and excuses.

The disapproval for Steinbrenner is not justified if it is solely based on fans saying he is cheap. He is not cheap (and he is certainly not financially responsible even which of course would not bad a bad thing anyway if he were!). The thing it seems he is not smart with how he allocates that money. All that money every year and for a decade plus the most the Yanks have done is get bounced in Post Season. And it would seem too much of the decision on how to spend it, allocate resources is given to the almighty saber-metric nerds.

Hal gets booed because he's spineless. Cashman has to go. Enough with this guy and the mediocrity he's presided over. Michael knows if George was still around Cashman would have been fired over a decade ago. He's had enough chances. Does anyone really think George would have sat idly by while the Red Sox were winning all these championships? Of course not. Under Cashman's watch the Red Sox have won 4 championships. George would have fired everyone in the organization if that happened under his watch. The Yankees have become soft under Hal and Cashman. It's no longer about winning championships.

Girardi won us a championship and got us to game 7 of the ALCS against a cheating team, Boone has done jack shit to deserve any kind of protection, yet Kay does nothing but make excuse after excuse for him.

My thing about Hal is that he’s constantly worried about the luxury tax. If the team goes 10m over the luxury tax and has to spend a few million bucks, so what?! Why is that stopping you from making a good team into a great team? If you own the most cherished valuable franchise in sports, this should not even be a mild concern. But it’s all we hear about each year. And I love that fans echo this concern as if it’s very important that the team that sells 14 dollar beers save a few bucks.

I’m a die hard Yankee fan. And I love my fellow Yankee fans. But booing Hal was a disgrace. This franchise hasn’t had a losing record for 30 years!! Some of the fans are ungrateful and it’s sad. Be happy that every year we have a chance to make the playoffs or come close every year

that's not the point. the mission statement from the organization is championship not having just a winning season. this isn't St Louis or Chicago where they will cheer you for just existing. its been 14 years since they have gotten to the WS. no one cares about "winning seasons"
