I am 29 years old guy from India. So far, my life has been made up with serious of failures, disappointments and rejection in pretty much every field. Even lost my job recently in this pandemic. This is MY song, the way that younger dude is dancing in the video, it reminds me of myself as I have same agony, helplessness and frustration inside myself but i can't let it out in words.

This video is a great example of why I love reaction videos! I’m a metalhead, but Michael Kiwanuka cuts me to the bone with his talent and emotion. This song feels a bit Clapton-esque at times, but far more soulful. Loved this.

The first time I listened to this song was September 17, 2018. It was a bad time for me. I remember sitting on a makeshift roof, having climbed it with so much difficulty, at 4 in the morning. I listened to this song on loop till the sun came out. That was the first time I ever wrote and here's the poem I wrote that day: Cold Little Heart You win. Amidst the tyranny of my agony, I realize... My heart succumbs finally, To my guilt, or to your absence? Burdened by something, Is it your virtue or my sins? Can see myself fading, Is it the growing dark or the shimmering light? I feel myself sinking, Is it a dream, or just the starry night? Want to ask you once, Should l stand again or give up the fight? Bewildered,I run searching around, Am I blind or is there no one in sight? Rush to me, strap me in your trap too tight, This cold little heart may bleed yet again, Another day, Another plight. This song will haunt me forever and I'll happily let it.

I can't make up my mind about which version, this one or the studio, i love most. Both have so much going for them. What rips me in this version is the sheer mastery of expression that kids dance portrays. Agony reeks from him as he wrestles with the death of his father; slays me every time. 😭💔

@@evangelionl0vr857 Fair point, I just thought for a first time hearing it it would of been good for them to get some of that great intro and then into the song. Introducing a song for the first time through a reaction tends to be a bit different than usual ways, so that’s why I went with the video. I don’t know if they’ve gone and listened to the album version or seen that live version since this, but I would to know their thoughts.
