Always a pleasure to see and hear Michael. He made such a contribution to the success of It Ain't Half Hot Mum and, while I know he was playing a 'silly arse', he always made the character both sympathetic and entirely gentlemanly.

Sadly, Michael is looking tired and aged, but his voice and annunciation is 100%...He seems like a pure gent, reminiscing on his ability and locations.....You are a superstar, Michael Knowles! ❤❤❤

Michael was referring to BBC Elstree where EastEnders is still made. An exterior of the Meldrum house was later built there to save problems filming on location.

think sit coms firstly have to have a great script but also a great cast and one think with croft and perry they always seemed to get that spot on
