This was the Golden age of danish football..the 80s....top 5 best team in the world....we danes called this world class striker duo: "Laukjær".....best ever striker duo for the danish national team....the level of partnership and scanning these 2 guys had together will never come again.

Laudrup is still the most gifted player I have ever seen. Cat like movement, silky and elegant, minimalist and... incredibly unselfish.

I grew up on this duo and Michael Laudrup was totally my hero. I did not give Elkjær his due at the time as I felt he overshadowed Laudrup. I have come to appreciate his talents in later years and I am of the firm belief that he should have gotten the Ballon D'or in 1985. Elkjær was one of the most toxic strikers I have seen and Michael Laudrup was a virtuoso. He set his partner up with the greatest assists. An awesome partnership.
