Hanoi Rocks were the influence on pretty much every "rock" band to come out of LA/Sunset scene in the early 80's. Guns n Roses, that one band with Mick Mars in it, ALL of them. Razzle's tophat look alone was copied by literally dozens of them. Their whole look and style was copied by so many and so few people realize it. It just baffles me. There were literally hundreds of Michael Monroe look-a-likes by the time they got to LA. I guess they are known as "The Best Kept Secret in Rock n Roll" for a reason, but their influence can't be overestimated.

Sooooo killer!! Damn it all!!! I want Michael Monroe to play here in America...west coast...Oregon pleeeaase!!! Ill keep trying but, the way things are going, I don't think I'll ever be able to swing getting to Europe to see him and it just SUUUUUCKS. Been a fan since the first time I heard Hanoi in the early 80's. SO wanted to go see The Lords play Viva le Rock in London, but I just can't swing it financially and I probably wouldn't be able to get in anyway as it's an awards show with less than 1000 tix...which means "important" people and people with a "connect" will probably be the ones who get in. I hope at least SOME true fans are able to go. I've seen pretty much every artist/musician/band I've wanted to in my lifetime...well, a lot of them, so I can't complain TOO much. Just ALWAYS admired Michael soooo much for not only his talent/musical abilities, but his drive, his ability to overcome all the obstacles & adversity (inspired and helped me personally), and for being the most KICK ASS, DEDICATED, REAL ROCKER IN ROCK N ROLL. I know he doesn't see these comments, but, MAN, do I wish him ALL the best of everything...happiness, inner peace and continued success in any endeavor he pursues...including writing more music, and releasing more albums as KICK ASS as this last one (and all the others)!! With love, respect and loyalty from Oregon, USA. OH, and btw, we play his music REGULARLY on our 23 yr running FM radio show, The Church of Rock. We've played every track off the latest album. I may not ever get to see him LIVE, but MAYBE, someday, I'll be able to manifest another dream I have of doing an interview with him by phone on the show!!
