Michael Moore on Where to Invade Next: Reel Pieces with Annette Insdorf

Күн бұрын

From Roger and Me (1989) to the Oscar-winning Bowling for Columbine (2002), Michael Moore's work has been entertaining, satirizing and provoking. Where to Invade Next is an expansive, rib-tickling and subversive comedy in which Moore, playing the role of “invader,” visits nine nations to learn how the U.S. could improve its own prospects. It turns out the solutions to America’s most entrenched problems already exist in the world: they’re just waiting to be co-opted.

Real? ROTFL!!! You are 100% unaware that the fake made up char-actor drag-king fraud puppet MM=33 (Michael Moore) is really a 100% woman wearing an obvious FAT SUIT COSTUME ALONG WITH A HYPER FLESHED FAT FACE! Same exact type of fat suit costume and hyper fleshed face that the 100% female drag-king fake manufactured brainless, soulless mind controlled char-actor puppet Elvis/Trump wears. This drag-king fraud MM=33 also portrays many other made up fake male char-actor puppets that are absolutely infested in the fake worldwide media! Billion Gates is one of them! There are many MOORE!!!! I hope you can see this clearly now that I have told you! Please do not be deceived and tell others now! If you need me to show you just ask!

I started to watch this and became curious about the movie itself. After taking a break and watching it I don't feel so dumb or outside the mainstream anymore. You see, what I saw in that movie validated many of the beliefs I have espoused over the years. Beliefs that I was frequently shot down for and occasionally ridiculed. It also opened me up to new possibilities that I had not considered before. It educated me as to some of what I have been doing wrong in life and how I can work to change it for the better. Sadly, some of that education was already in place but I chose to ignore it in an effort to fit in. Of that, I am ashamed. I am ashamed because I did not have the courage and the strength to carry through with what I already knew to make things better, not preserve status quo or to make things even worse in some cases. To those whom I have wronged, please accept my apologies. I will try harder in the future. One of the things that came out of the movie that was unexpected, a revelation and a shock all at the same time was a short piece of existing video taken during the years leading up to and including the second world war. It was some footage of Adolf Hitler standing arms folded across his chest surveying the massive evil that he was creating. It is shown at 54 minutes in the movie. What struck me about this footage was how much a certain Donald Trump parodied Hitler's stance and mannerisms. I have to ask, is that the future of America? To be led by a man who is so out of touch, so delusional, so vile in his beliefs and yet so charismatic that he can get people to willingly buy into his B.S.? Wake up America. Your time is running short.

How can we thank this man for all he has done, for all he has shown us, for his bravery and amazing capacity to see what we can't and don't know to express. I am in awe of Michael. Micheal Moore has been around for a couple of decades, but in the context of how long the Murican empire has been causing the world great suffering since the beginning of the 20th century, from the Philippines, to Indochina region, South America, Middle East, that's very short, but I still believe in America to produce heroes like Micheal Moore that will make things right for everyone, everywhere, that America will redeem itself and save the world. Or maybe I'm just overly, unreasonably optimistic!

Another excellent & informative movie. Just when I couldn't stand it anymore & was yelling why are WE so stupid, selfish & powerless? You reminded me of what the real American dream was at the end. The fact is, on almost every issue covered in the movie, a huge majority of Americans agree with it. I can't comprehend how we have allowed our corporate & political masters to divide us so much, when clearly we mostly want the same things. What's wrong with us? Why are we so gullible to "the powers at be" lies & manipulation?

Another Michael Moore film well worth seeing. A little overstated, as usual, but poignant and funny. It is "R" rated, but we should require every 18-year-old to see it. It might create an emigration problem rather than immigration problem. Major point is that many other nation's best qualities were learned from America, but seem to be forgotten here in the USA. [Except for the French who were always ahead in culture.]

Michael Moore needs to endorse Bernie Sanders and put the effort out that he did back with John Kerry. I hope that the film includes FDR's Second Bill of Rights, which became the Marshall Plan for Europe after WWII. That's the sad part we could have had all that Europe has now if we would have follwed FDR's legacy.

Fantastic! The most hopeful vision I've seen in a long time. This is about Michael's commentary on the Holocaust. Embedded in the Jewish faith is the concept of "Tikkun Olam": repair of the world. From what young Germans have told me that I met while traveling, in their schools teachers remind them every day about the Holocaust and the role of Germans. Don't you think this is a bit too much?

Looks like a great movie. Sadly Mr. Moore is letting himself go and is a walking heart attack. He rips on our public school lunch but needs to take heed on what he's putting in his body as well. He's slowly killing himself.

I'm Canadian and I have a question. Am I the only Canadian who thinks that Michael gives Canada a little too much credit for having their crap together? I get slightly uncomfortable when he speaks to Americans about how Canadians can do no wrong. I'm a proud Canadian but I will not pretend that we don't have our issues. Some of our issues are different from America's issues, but they are serious issues nonetheless. Most countries have a list of improvements that could be made. That being said, I do agree that America has some huge issues that need IMMEDIATE attention (i.e. universal healthcare, much stricter gun laws etc.).

Well, he's not good-looking, and definitely _not_ a snappy dresser - but he is one of the few important Americans to realize that there is a whole world out there beyond American borders. Frankly, some countries make the USA look like a third-world country. America _was_ great with great ideas and ideals. It can be again if it wants to be.
