sorry, im a little late to the party, but your cover is the best I've come across. Its slower, which is the main reason i love it so much. its more contemplative and sounds so beautiful. I also love the fact that you kept the mistakes in, it makes it sound so much more raw, natural and unrestrained, just like the emotions of the movie. 'This' was what I was looking for. After browsing many videos and listening to many versions of The Heart Asks Pleasure First I came across this one and it's perfect. Why? Because the tempo is slower. It's perfect when you play it alone in a night to relax yourself. Not jumble. No loud sound. Just smooth flow of music to soothe your mind. I don't know about others. It's perfect for me. Thanks for sharing your video. It was a privilege to watch them.

I have been looking for the version of this I first heard a young guy play on a random piano outside a bar ,on a street in Cochrane , Alberta ------ a few summers ago.....and YOURS IS IT !!!!!! Even the original piece doesn't come close ( no offense , original piece ! ) LOVE it ! thanks ;-)

Wow... this is a great cover! I loved all the little time changes in there - they make it into a very nuanced piece. I prefer this piece with some more variation in speed, but your cover somehow sounded great to me! This piece was one of the reasons I started to play the piano and I only just learned how to play it (after about 5 years). Tried to put more variation in the speed. Amazing how keyboards are so close to piano sound now. There is of course "room noise" missing, and a hair off the very top.and low ends (more obvious using headphones), but it's about 90% now. And one like this wouldn't pass 1,000, while "workstations" with lots of effects, more keyboard-y, more portable and versatile in a band, a nice workstation (76 keys) tends to go 2,700 or so (Roland or Korg).
