@rgoodsan8 күн бұрын
He’s been in the game for sooo long and yet somehow still feels un-tested. We’ve never seen him overcome adversity in a fight. The best challenge he’s faced was Lima but he lost that fight and many argued it was a fluke. He later avenged that loss. He was also challenged by Mike Perry and came up short in the bare knuckle boxing. But it was a close fight. I would like to see him fight legends at this point. Maybe get a match with Anderson Silva.
@djtheory3138 күн бұрын
@ he still at the top of his game I’d like him to continue his path on getting the welterweight belt. I still have MVP over Ian, that was also some bad judging. Ian didn’t do anything.

@@rgoodsan in addition, even the greatest strikers are not gonna stand with him. I get it. It’s MMA. The Mike Perry fight that’s bare knuckle if they were in a kickboxing match, Mike Perry would’ve gotten finished in less than a min. Look what Geoff did to Perry got head kick knockout.

@djtheory31310 күн бұрын
Have you ever trained with a sport karate elite fighter? If you haven’t, none of them keep their hands up, it’s from so much repetition since they were children. It’s actually a massive advantage. Sport karate elite fighters love Muay Thai fighters, because they’re so slow and they telegraph everything they’ll get hit with multiple combos.

Outside of Douglas Lima the first time where he just made a big mistake, I dont truly felt like MVP has lost a fight. That bullshit Bellator fight w Storley should have been a win for MVP. Storley couldnt take him down and was literally just hanging on for dear life and the only one landing any strikes was MVP. Storley was scared to death. Then against Ian Garry, I felt MVP won the fight but got edged out in the "competition" though he made Ian Garry look terrible on the feet, and in round 3 had he just stayed in Ian Garry's guard and not let him up, and then get too high on the back, he never would have fallen off and landed on bottom. I still feel he won that fight still. But this fight, in enemy territory, up 15 pounds, its hard to say they are even going to let him win. And of course both could get KO'ed. But I like MVP. Wish he came to the UFC sooner.
