I really believe that the committee got it right! The 2 teams left standing are number 1 and 2. They both have beat every team who's been in front of them, regardless if it was close or a blow-out win. Congrats to both teams and may the best team win. Regardless of who loses this thing, nobody has any room to say that the losing team didn't belong there unless it is a major blow-out (which it won't be). Washington will be the under dogs as usual. I'm convinced that the so-called experts and writers won't get it right again because they'll have Michigan as the favorite. Keep in mind that Washington was the under dog in both games against Oregon as well as in tonights game against Texas, and of course in the Final game next week!

The irony here is too much to ignore. Steve Sarkisian left The Huskies after the 2013 season to coach USC, and within 3 years his replacement from the Mountain West Conference, Boise State's Chris Petersen, guided U.W. to a PAC 12 title and a berth in the 2016 CFP. Now for the 2nd straight year he loses to The Huskies in a bowl game where they are coached by another Mountain West alum, Fresno State's Kalen DeBoer, in just his 2nd season at the helm.
