I thank God for raising Michael up in a family that had connections! He certainly used it for His glory to reach Michael and subsequently so many thousand others from all walks of life. I learn so much from Michael. He speaks undeniable truths that we need to hear today in today's crazy world.

Even if a diagnosis does not give you hope of a cure being possible then I still find that knowing what the reality is and knowing all the negatives which may be involved is so much more useful than being given false hope.

It is difficult to hear these words coming from someone who appears to come from an oppressor class but this is good. I suppose it's obvious what will happen to oppressors, "the first will be last" but more difficult to temper the frustration of those who really have been oppressed and are attempting to take on the ugly role of oppressors themselves. Very good message. I love the use of Jonah to show we shouldn't be worried about how others should/should not be punished. This is also another side to the typical message given to the oppressed that vengeance is the Lord's.

Michael Ramsden - oppressor class?????? A well connected family doesn't equate with being an oppressor. He uses his connection to elevate people!!

@@cathyphillips9120 and Watchyourprofanity, may I gently suggest that A Free may live in a vastly different culture and under a profoundly different government than we do in the US? We have laws that govern our police forces as well as our military and government, and while they are still flawed systems, God has preserved much individual freedom for us through them. It is not the case in most other countries, including Cyprus and Saudi Arabia in which Mr. Ramsden grew up as well as India and China, etc. May I also venture to guess that from the wording of his/her comment, A Free also may have been on the receiving end of Scripture being grossly misused, misquoted, and misapplied? I can imagine many people throughout the world may listen quite skeptically to Mr. Ramsden, and yet our God has changed him by His own grace as He is changing us. I kindly express doubt that Mr. Ramsden would take offense to this comment, based on the many things he has openly stated in many of his public speeches.

Michael makes some interesting points. I don’t agree with all his observations but he is most definitely describing a genuine shift in our culture and the problem it has created. The sad thing is that I often hear Christians complain of the same thing: “We are persecuted because the culture disagrees with us.” “They have taken Christ out of Christmas.” “Universities are bastions of socialist if not communist ideology”. Even some Christian films show narratives of Christian self victimization. Honestly, I find myself easily slipping into the role because it is all around us. We know the culture has changed; how can we speak the truth in love without whining and constantly crying over the good old days of our “Christian” nation that probably were not as good as we remember them? I know RZIM is raising the alarm on moral relativism and related issues. It is a challenge for all of us to move from moralizing and complaining to doing something.
