Individuals don't realize that corporations like banks are likewise motivated by greed. One of the causes of SVB's collapse was the banks' overleveraging of their assets beginning in 2020. I've never felt comfortable storing a lot of money in the bank. I merely make investments through my financial advisor, get my gains, and then save more for retirement.

The one question I would like someone to ask Michael Saylor is this. I have just read the latest Microstrategy 10-Qs and in it they state (on page 62) that they can issue more stock if they wish to do so. How therefore can someone accurately value their stock if they can potentially keep issuing further stock? Every stock issued further dilutes the amount of Bitcoin per share. For the private investor, surely it's better to buy Bitcoin from an Exchange?

As much as I find Mr. Saylor's well informed point of view educational and illuminating, there are a few points I take issue with. Why try to compare a yacht to a cross border financial instrument? Apples and oranges. Why call Gold "bad money"? I'm pro BTC AND pro precious metals, why is it impossible to be both? Gold has a 5000 year history as the best money, as does Silver. Granted, neither are where we might expect them to be, but I believe they are "lagging" and will eventually fly, especially as CBDCs become a dystopian reality. That tide may well float all boats, but in a digital world, BTC is ultimately easier to monitor than a few grams of PMs changing hands. Edit. He's (IMO) misguided when he talks about BTC being used for everyday transactions. There is a very uncomfortable divisibility in BTC. Nobody has an instinctive understanding of the value of a satoshi, or several zeros followed by 3 digits. There are/will be much better cryptos for this. BTC is more likely to become a collectable than a global medium of exchange.

Gold is bad money because it is impractical to use, unless you centrally store and digitize it, which leads you to just using a digit asset. Either way though, the government can control it. So back to square one.

Yeah, Satoshis make the Bitcoin case moot. When you divide up actual commodities like gold, oil, etc. you end up with smaller volumes of those commodities. Since Bitcoin has no volume (it's digital nothing) dividing it into Satoshis just creates more digital nothing. And eventually Satoshis could be divided into Metoshis, Youtoshis, Wetoshis, ad infinitum... generating infinite digital nothing. So long as this Bitcoin scam and its cult followers keep pushing the price up, it will continue to subdivide as early mass adopters (like Saylor) sell off smaller and smaller bits of their coins for real assets (like yachts and planes)... until people realize that the supply of digital nothing isn't limited at all and the whole Ponzi collapses. Just a tulip mania... globally and on steroids, for the digital age. Trade your digital nothing to the next sucker for real stuff while you can.
