Michael Schenker is a genius..."Force It" is one of those recordings that literally changed my life...

Michael's motivation has always been very simple: to learn how to express himself using the electric guitar. Nothing more; nothing less.

Starting from 3:33. Really a one - MAN - combo. One could listen through and through. He is really underrated. :-( We love you Michael :-).

Thank you for the comment. Of course, Michael Schenker is not religious God. However, to a conjuror tone [ of an electric guitar ] sound, it was called the common name "God of a guitar" and was very popular in Japan. A sound is very Japanese liking. A guitarist thinks that he is not only a mere technique. I think that the melody which remains in the head is first.

When he says that he goes inside himself when he plays makes sense. He is a true artist! When one such as he is so gifted he is somewhat socially awkward. Not because he wants to be but the music is deep within him. Just like Hendrix, the music inside his head needed to come out. Its no different with Michael. Its there in his mind heart and soul and it takes him deep into himself that he doesn't realize that he is onstage performing in front of thousands. He goes to the depth of his soul baring all of him to us and gives us the most incredible music on his guitar!

@HeavyAgecom It's more than a rumor. Rudolf himself said it, but it won't happen until after Scorps wrap up their farewell tour, which could go on until 2013 for all we know!

I wonder if all the kids who listen to Rage Against The Machine, Slipknot, System Of a Down etc could even appreciate a guy who is so much more talented such as Michael Schenker. I'm glad I grew up on hard rock such as this.
@SwissFrogGuy15 жыл бұрын
Another guy... ? How about the guy who pretty much started it, and everyone followed? Its one thing to technically master a copy of something already done. Its another matter altogether to invent.

I listen to SOAD , RATM, Slipknot, Cannibal corpse, goatwhore, mushroomhead, as I lay Dying, Killswitch engage, and other such extreme bands. But I also love Michael Schenker, japanese pop, led zeppelin, pink floyd, ozzy, jazz, and other such different types of music because it's all MUSIC all those bands you mentioned are all heavily influenced by Schenker as well as other classic artists. I'm not arguing the fact that MS is talented but to have the audacity to say that he's better then those

You should buy the first 5 records, they are masterpieces: MSG (1980); MSG II (1981); Live at Budokan (1982); Built to Destroy (1983) and Rock my Nights Away, live at Hammersmith Odeon (1984).

@MartyFriedmanRulez6612 жыл бұрын
It's totally understandable. And perhaps I am being a little sensitive but as a musician I take music very seriously and I was quite insulted when you said your opinion (that MS is more talented then those aforementioned bands) like it was a written in stone fact.

It's not about that who's faster because they are artists and playing totally different styles, Yngwie doesn't want to be the fastest in the world he's playing as he likes and if there is someone faster than him fuck it and for schenker's the same.

@FortisBong I dunno..if you were young, immensley talented, and drop dead gorgeous you may have had an ego too. I betting you would, I would. That is a hard combination to have and not be a little heady. Not saying he *was* arrogant but if he was maturing has a way of flushing that out of a person. From what I can tell he's grown beyond that. He never really did like the "limelight" anyway. A guy who has deep insecurities masks those feelings with drink-so he's not as arrogant as you think.
@titurey213 жыл бұрын
Once in a while one has to turn back in time, click on that bloody clip, and embark into 3:34 and get ones ears and mind blown into the illuminating riffs by schenker, get back, start anew, and it is just plain recommendable then, to better not stop banging your head up until your neck hurts. rock on ...
@judasmetal8014 жыл бұрын
