I’ve recently adopted a rescue dog - a 2 year old golden retriever, anxious, scared. The one thing that calms her - Michael Sheen! She was rescued from a breeder in Wales. I think that due to her upbringing, she may respond well to a male voice (I’m female) - and to Michael Sheen’s intonation in particular. She especially relaxes to this Hobbit reading but also keen on his reading of Lord Byron!

What an unexpected joy! The First chapter of the Hobbit is one of my favorite things in the whole world. My dad read it to me when I was little. now it's just pure comfort, and Michael is wonderful reading this!
