Jai Guru Dev, Jai Masters. Jai Guru Dev is a traditional Hindu phrase that means Glory to the Great Teacher (the most accurate translation would be glory to the shining remover of darkness), where the great teacher here is generally considered to be the Divine Soul, while we, as human beings, are considered the individuated Soul. Jai Masters means Glory to the Masters, some of whom Singer refers to at times.

Linda Hoffmann it all makes perfect sense . Our life purpose is to be happy but WE allow others behavior to rain on our parade . Check. Yourself how is your inner energy as u go to that meeting? Or meet a certain person or after you traveled to Hawaii and had a horrible accident and now you are afraid to go on vacations. Check your reality and heal those memories so they don’t confuse you.. don’t give them so much credit….learning self care is a way ……loved what I heard today . How do we get that inner shanti to settle once it’s taking over ?? I love your books they make so much sense thank you Michael for all u to .. u set the path and now we can walk it .🥰linda

I think the thing I can't wrap my head around his teaching is how does one even decide what to do with one's life if the goal is to find peace and contentment in every possible situation. If I foster that in myself and feel great, even with my 8-5 job, is there any motivation to find something I'd prefer to do? Or would my preferences disappear and it doesn't matter if I'm doing the most/least labor intensive job? Or really how do you decide to do anything if it isn't motivated by literally any reason? He's definitely right about things, but I can't connect that piece yet.

When you remove preference, you are completely enthused about what you are doing right now. You're not looking for the next thing that might make you happy. That doesn't mean things are boring and never change. The world is happening all around you and you're more open to it. You are excited about raising the next moment that appears before you.
