I think he is the most natural 180 thrower I have ever seen. Littler is incredible, power and humphries accuracy was / is insane, mvg's is aggressive and forced in, Lewis was same natural as smiths, but when smith nonchalantly throws those 2 darts in the lipstick after he nails that first dart. Its truly world class and a pleasure to watch. Or when the tv camera can't keep up with his 3 dart outs..thats special too.

The PL should be like the nations league setup for football. Have set groups based on the order of merit and after the group stage, those that are too good get promoted to tougher ones and those that are out of form get demoted so they still have a chance at the overall tournament when the playoffs come. The playoffs then happen between all the best players who end up in the top groups and there are spots then for those from the lower leagues who have made it out to play too. Those that earned top spot in their groups play the top spot of the next group down, 2nd placed play 2nd place of the next group down and so on so that there's no incentive to not play well weekly when you'll be playing the tougher draws if you do. That way you can have the darts on every week, but the groups that are playing rotate so players get a break. The playoffs can then be played weekly over a month when there's not many other tournaments on or they're in England anyway, like May

I regard Michael Smith the weakest pdc wc since Part second title. And no, this has nothing to do with his poor performance after him winning the title. I think Smith depends a lot on rhythmic throwing action, which is the basis for him being able to reach very high ceiling, but also his inconsistency (him losing a lot of finals has much more to do with this weakness in his throwing style than nerves in my opinion). I think Smith deserved more with 1 wc title ( than he has ultimately got in him (yes poor English sorry, you guys understand.) He really was not that good in 2023 besides the first 5 sets in the final, after that MVG and Smith level dropped quit a a lot. I know I have a minority stance, I already know the counter arguments, I am not a hater, great player, great bloke. I wont reply to anyone. Just my two cents. Have a good day folks.
