@@shawnwilliams7757 Because, as an artist, he needed to be able to do what he does freely simply for the sake of doing it again. Being a parent is a lot of work. Being a single parent _and_ a widower comes with a lot of heavy lifting. Got Talent is actually a really good place for a freelancer to demonstrate their art and for someone who's been out of the scene a long time to show what they still have. I have mad respect for Michael Winslow for putting his children first and helping them to cope through the loss of their mother. What's off is not thinking about the man as a human being, father and widower _before_ looking at his career. Nobody is the career they're in, they're a person that works a career.

If you're already good, something like this is just an excellent choice for promoting yourself to an insane level. It's a win all round. You get massive publicity and that alone is helpful, but if you end up winning you also get paid. So no real loss at all here.
@antondelacruz93623 жыл бұрын
@@duality7 that is one way of looking at it. On the other hand, if youre more famous and beloved than the very people judging you, you actually lower your own prestige. Im sure im not the only person who watched this wondering if he fell on hard times or never made it big despite his prominent roles. You wont find penn and teller or arianna grande on this stage.
