@Atara Johnson...yes I did see Ghosts. It seemed as though as an adult, MJ always felt more comfortable in character, behind a mask, or behind make up or in someone else's skin. Be it a scarecrow, werewolf, zombie, ghoul, or the Mayor of that community. We never really got to see MJ fully let loose in his own person. Maybe that's because he was such a character himself in life with the clothes he wore, make up, and cosmetic surgery, that it would have been difficult to believe him or see him as playing or becoming someone else.

He was extremely aware of being a black man, not scared of others for that reason and proud of (when her visited the White House and "casually" raised a black gloved fist, oh God, Nancy Reagan's face) He wasn't scared of others professionally. He changed the world for real. He loved challenges. When he was told his video couldn't be aired during the day, he simply fought and won. How did he do that? By becoming the most powerful man is the industry. Don't believe those who tell you he was ashamed of being black, he always clearly stated how PROUD he was. It was life in general that hurt him. It had nothing to do with the color of his skin (beside, of course, people making fun of his skin disorder). But don't forget he didn't speak about it until it was too late. He had such a dignity!
