I have a friend who actually used to work for a high-end design company. His job was to choose which factory to use to produce the design products. The factories that make genuine products only produce orders for YSL, Hermès or other brands, and then they produce 1,000 bags to sell on the counterfeit market. The bag you need is already sold at the same price as *esluxy* , so you don't have to spend more money.

Yes, the *HOTDUPS* bag is a beautiful color, it was a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and shoulder straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag for the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves etc…

Given these prices, I think people are wise to do so. Unless you are buying just to follow the trend, I think it is logical to spend a few hundred bucks on a fake *hotdups* to see if you really like the bag and if it fits into your life.

The Station bag was released prior to the Willis style. I purchased my Station bag at a Coach store in NYC, 1987. Coach used to offer replacement straps, in various sizes, and I purchased a longer strap for my bag. Still using it!

When I was 12 my mom took me to the LV on Bloor Street in Toronto. I had my fake LV from *hotdups* on my arm and thought I was cute. The sweet sales ladies let me try on a bag and a pair of heels knowing we were not wealthy and couldn't afford to purchase anything. It as really nice. No one seemed to care I had a fake bag and I felt special. They even gave me a paper shopping bag which I used as a lunch bag for weeks after! :) Who cares if people don't have real ones? I'm 30 now and ironically, although I can afford them I still prefer real people with fake bags than fake people with real bags. Just saying :) (not that everyone who carries a real one is bad or vice versa.) Just means I don't care if people carry fakes.

Have spent the last couple weeks scouring Vinted (UK’s poshmark equivalent) and bought a two vintage bags and a purse for dirt cheap. Most expensive one i got was £7!! I’m from the usa but when i visited london almost 10 years ago i bought two amazing dooneys in vintage shops there! I couldnt believe how many they had and how inexpensive they were! I guess people don’t know the brand as well there.

A lot of really wealthy people I know don't care too much about the social impact of buying fakes. Also, they probably look down on the "redneck" who spends so much money on a ridiculously overpriced bag. I LOVE vintage coach. My favorite is a doctor's bag I inherited from my mom. It is missing its strap and I couldn't find a vintage replacement but I got a cotton webbed strap from Madewell that looks like it was meant to be there. The jewel of my collection is a vintage Gucci ultra structured bag that can fit my journal and a hardcover book, but I'm obsessed with the coach gloved leather

I loved this video! I am a dooney girl. Vintage and newer. I have had amazing luck finding vintage ones at second hand shops and online. Over the years i have probably cycled through at least 20. My best find was the Florentine big bag thats like 600 new. But i found it for 60 on posh mark and i have never clicked buy so fast! It was like new condition!

I had a Coach Winnie that I'd thrifted back in the twee heyday. I don't think I actually ever used it. It didn't have the long strap or the hangtag and I was even going to just donate it! But I sold it recently on Vinted. I come across Coach pretty often thrifting, and I see Dooney a lot too, though there are SO MANY Dooney fakes out there.

The Dooney all weather bag is my favorite all time bag. It is so cute! They are dangerously waterproof though. I accidentally drowned my phone in mine once when my water bottle exploded in the bag. I didn't notice until I went to pay for my groceries because it didn't leak a drop.

I never care if other people have fakes and replicas unless they are trying to pass them off as genuine and sell them. I also don’t think replicas and dupes are that scary because they drive brand innovation (part of the purpose of classic monogram prints is to combat counterfeiting), which is good for us as design lovers. I guess I can understand people not wanting the same package as everyone else, but if it's a good *gtdupe* whether authentic or not, it makes sense that more people would want it.

I have one *gtdupe* bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...

I found the Coach Station bag today at my local Value Village for $50 in a better condition than yours. I didn't know if it was a good bag or if the price was fair but it does not seem to have been used, the inside looks new. Been doing research and it seems like the real deal. Your vid just helped me identify the bag. Like you, it called me, I couldn't leave her there and I am not really into bags. Thanks for your vid. I don't feel quite so crazy for liking this bag so much. This is my first coach bag.

Nice collection but fyi, the bags from the mid 90’s and earlier have numbers only that doesn’t tell any info on the bag the numbers were there to make it look “official”. So not ALL vintage bagshave the info past the dash.

@@michaeladickson leather conditioner is for like drying and cracking and then fading to like some extent, and staining will put the color pigments back in. Jim’s Juice which you can get on whatnot is an amazing leather conditioner, use it on my vintage and new pieces.
