I cut my 'magic teeth' watching Michael Ammar videos and DVDs many, MANY years ago. A great teacher who also was a guest lecturer at our local magic club here in Louisville, KY.

I still do this in many of my paid gigs to this day in the gambling demo of my act. I just call it “The Blank Monte.” And of all 5 methods I know for monte effects, this gets BY FAR the best reactions. It’s quite simple to perform too

This was one of my go-to tricks when i used to hustle drinks at the bar. Virginia city shuffle, a d-lite, soda and scotch, oxo oxx xox, smoke, gtr, and stigmata. Potholes if i was trying to give a girl my number. Started out doing 2 and a half cents as well, but drunks suck at math.

This is one of those routines that looks impossible but is so easy it’d be an ideal trick for a compete novice bc they wouldn’t know what a reverse fan even is. Double lifts, displacement counts, and flustration count are all that’s needed (along with one blank card) to perform something that seems impossible! A beautiful piece of magic I still use to this day with decks that have blanks included. Also own decks of blanks. But still I adore this routine. It always kills! 👍🏻

Extraordinarily charming trick! I think I like it better than Color Monte (Bill Elliot's "Three-Card Monkey Business" from _Ibidem_).
