I was just about to comment the same heads up on this... included is a warning paper that using it could break the joystick shaft. These were alternative joysticks used on some of the real arcades.

He's right, the original joystick was the black bat top but it kept breaking so they replaced it with the shorter red ball top.

These seem to be pure display like a model car with working steering and suspension. Neat, but a cabinet piece, not a game.

Early versions of the arcade cabinet had the tall black joystick. It was an optical joystick and was problematic, so they later changed to using the 'regular' Wico leaf switch joystick that had the red ball top. New Wave Toys probably doesn't want us playing with the tall joystick because its extra height will put too much torque on the joystick shaft. Agree about the marquee. The original arcade game had a fluorescent bulb. Looks like maybe New Wave Toys opted to use LEDs that are giving off a yellowish hue, making it look incandescent and dulls the artwork's colors. Bummer. I'm also disappointed a bit with the sound. Specifically, speech is fine, but the fired shots and whatnot are too low in volume. The default sound settings for the game in MAME have the same problem. But MAME has two volume adjustments for the game: one for speech, and another for other sound effects like fired shots. I have this second second setting on my MAME cabinet cranked up to make the fired shots louder, which is more authentic to how the original arcade machine sounds.
