The gimbals will work even if your phone is off. So yes, it will work with any App. BUT, you will not get the extra features that the gimbal App has.

Are u using the same phone when you film the comparisons?. There’s difference in their image qualities plus the stabilization in m6 is way clean which puts me into wonders.

When I showed the Mobile plus in flashlight mode, it was filmed using the iPhone 11. It was old footage, simply to show how to use wide angle on it. It was not a comparison of the gimbals. All the walk, run clips were filmed using the iphone 14 pro on the gimbal.

Thanks for your excellent content. It's been very helpful :). How can I connect the Rodes Wireless Pro microphone receiver and the Rode Videomicro II to my Iphone when it's being held by the gimbal? It's tricky because they both use a cable to connect to the phone...

Good question. You need to use a right angle adapter cable to connect your phone to the microphone. You need to slide your phone over so you can connect the cable. You then need to re-balance your phone. You may need counter weights. Also you need to make sure your not over the gimbal payload. The microphone can attach to the gimbal body. Be aware the cable my get in the way of the gimbal movement. Now an easier way is to use a different setup, you don't have to use this one, although it works well. curious, the M6 has a 45 degree tilt vs the MP has vertical. It seems that the vertical stance of the MP would be ergonomically correct as you would hold the gimbal straight vs at a 45 degree angle.

Not sure I understand, where are you getting the 45 degree angle? Are you talking vertical filming? Tilt on the M6 is 335 deg vs the MP at 320 deg

Glad you liked the video. I can't answer that as I have not tried the X/X2. From all the gimbals I have tried I do prefer the Hohem M6, but it is like I always say "depends on what you plan on doing with it and the features YOU need"

@@zeus_897 I can only tell by the gimbals I have played with. DJI and Zhiyun make good gimbals to. I have the Zhiyun smooth 4. It is a good gimbal,, but older tech now. At your price point I would look at the Hohem isteady V2 is on sale for $99 USD It is pretty much the same as the X you are looking at, but has the added AI sensor on top. do a specification/features comparison see which does what you want. I bought the same thing. Hohem isteady mobile plus. But it’s not working well.. It is not compatible with iPhone 14 pro max. Whenever i am trying to take a shot in inception mode, the Bluetooth got disconnected.

Rubbish if you have a IPhone you are covering up the lightening connector with both these gimbals , but you don’t mention that

Yes, you are, but you can offset the phone and re balance it. The iSteady M6 even comes with the right angle adapter. I didn't mention it as I addressed it in the unboxing a reviews of the gimbals. Guess I should have.
