Fun fact: it was made by DNA Productions (infamous for a particular Nickelodeon property Jimmy Neutron boy geneus). I have no idea why they made this movie but somehow this movie flopped so hard that it DNA Productions went out of business and I believe there was a Jimmy Neutron season 4 in the works but this movie caused this show to get cancelled. The closest thing we got was Planet Sheen which is a broken record amongst many people who saw the spin off. If it was made in 1998 then it would be competing with Pixar's bugs life, DreamWorks antz. But it was done 7/8 years too late and that's DNA Productions.

I saw this movie a long time ago. It was kinda a movie that I watched a few times when it was on tv, but it did stay in my mind. As for the game, it's really interesting for a license game of that kinda movie. Although, I do think they missed the opportunity to make the exterminator aware that ants are intelligent, since it would make his fate more justified. Especially since some licensed games like to make villains much evil. Also, a pretty good video as always and I'm happy that you are so close to 5k sub's.😊👍

Always find changes in size, whether bigger or smaller can make for interesting ideas as gets another perspective on things. Also wouldn't be able to capture the full feel of an ant if wasn't a bit monotonous.

I saw the movie as a kid, thought it was decent, as a grown-up I think The Ant Bully movie is not bad but not good either, not a movie I care for too much, though I think it's somewhat funny that Tom Hanks had a hand in its production. I had the video game sometime after watching the movie, but I never got all the Fire Crystals as a kid. Years later I'd play the game again after getting a new copy and it was a surprisingly decent time, having played the Ps2 and Wii versions though I'd say I prefer the Ps2/GameCube version because I'm not a fan of motion controls of the Wii version, the one advantage the Wii version has is the Silk Squirter doesn't require charging it like the other versions but even then the charge time isn't very long anyways. I too feel a reward for collecting every Fire Crystal in addition to getting every Gold medal would've been nice, like maybe a Sound Test or some Concept Art or something. I would definitely say I prefer the game over the movie in this case.

The GameSpot review criticized the graphics for being outdated and being downright ancient on the Wii while noting that games like Jak & Daxter, Super Mario Sunshine, and Beyond Good & Evil looked better and they were released years beforehand. Another game that looks better is Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time which was released three years earlier which is noticeable with the Prince’s model, the sand creatures, the environments, and the objects and weapons. You can say the same thing about its sequels. There are so many other games that look betterI find it weird that this game was never released for the Xbox 360, original Xbox, PS3, DS or PSP. The GameSpot reviewed also advised players to avoid it unless they were obsessed with the movie since the way the game tells more of the story is preachy and bland. They even criticized the missions for all feeling the game and being too repetitive. It feels great that I discarded two copies of this game; one of the GameCube version by breaking it apart and dropping the Game Boy Advance version down a manhole. I find the fonts in the game to be weird looking. This is one of the worst games I’ve ever played. Had Roger Ebert reviewed the film that this game is based on, I say he would’ve gave it 1.5/4 or 2/4 and he would’ve suggested watching A Bug’s Life & Antz instead since he gave both films 3.5/4 when he reviewed them in 1998. I love the TripleJump review of this game and I love when they reference Bruce Campbell being in the 2002 Spider-Man game.
