I remember watching this on AGT and being astounded....hair raising on arms, goosebumps, jaw dropped like the girl at the end of the video. I jumped into KZbin to see what else she had done and was immediately sucked into Angelina rabbit hole and have never recovered. Those videos with Ivan Mendez converted me to a lifelong Angelina fan and I probably have watched at least one Angelina performance every day since. It is hard to believe but she is even better now. Her recent Nobel Peace prize cover of Unchained Melody was absolutely incredible and touching. I can't wait to see her live. She wasn't pandering Simon. There's video of her at 5 yo saying she wanted to sing for him. Her outfit shows artwork of her grandmother. She's the woman who stands up in the quick cut to the family just as AJ finishes. Then they show her crying a few seconds later. AJ's mother, sister and uncle are there also.

And, what probably is even more amazing than her performance here, Angelina is writing the arrangements from almost every cover she sings herself since the age of 8, including this one. The remaining members of "Queen" were so impressed that they have given Angelina the copyrights of this cover: I can not think of a better compliment.... I think that is also the reason she has never performed the entire song till this day. And now she is 18 and has just had her first big concert in Las Vegas. Angelina's mother, Sara Astar, is co-producer of a 16-minutes documentary "Angelina Jordan, 10 years in the making", which is released on KZbin just recently. Since you took the leap to AGT, I think you should watch her other two performances on the show. The first is her competing in the finals, and the second is post competition. On the second, I urge you to avoid the version where someone used rehearsal audio over the top to eliminate the crowd noise. Find and watch the rehearsal for that audio, it is very good, but doesn't have the emotional impact that the live performance has. 1) Honestly Mike, you've shown unbelievable restraint to hold off on this one for so long out of having wanted to get a real sense of her childhood journey through music (which I love that you focused on for so long without jumping ahead! THIS kind of experience is the payoff for folks who stick to their guns about wanting to sample stuff chronologically... it's a different experience than hitting up her most popular videos first before circling around to check out her childhood back catalogue stuff). 2) I don't believe I've ever watched this performance without being brought to at least *some* tears. It's an unbelievable creation, a glowing little treasure for humanity to, like, have something to believe in, lol.
