Hi Michael, you can also Alt-Click on a parameter in Spacelab to expose it to the DAW. So you do not have to do it manually as you did in this video.

I feel like the next plugin they need to work on is master bus compression and other master is effects to function like 2channel. They would corner the market with That in their ecosystem

The way Atmos works under the hood I don't think we'll ever see a true master bus multichannel processing, but you can certainly create psuedo bus compression by putting a plugin called KSMHR Chain onto every channel with a Beam plugin and then host your favourite stereo compressor and process all objects and beds that way. If you feed a fold down as a sidechain into KSHMR Chain you can then have everything reacting to the overall master bus output.

@@SamHocking Yeah im aware of other methods .. Even sidechaining any compressor from the whole stereo mixbus to each in individual track feeding the render ... Im sure the incoming tracks could have a streamlined way to do some mixbus type of process .. However i understand by the nature of atmos and the -18 lufs standard that it should be done with a grain of salt if at all ..

@@sickmessiah I suppose if Fiedler could integrate the functionality of KSHMR Chain in the Atmos Beam plugin that would be pretty cool and convenient as you could host any plugin you want eith the audio object chain pre-panner then. I think perhaps more useful for Stereo-only DAWs might be a kind of multichannel Fiedler Utility plugin though, so you can do the normal aux send from the mono/stereo track, but upmix it through the Fiedler Utiity hosting your favourite multichannel FX.

One more thing they could do is have other rendering options to play on Apple devices and other devices for QC.

Fiedler wants to but it's a Dolby licencing issue he said. I guess that means either the encoder isn't possible for 3rd parties to integrate (no internal Dolby Atmos Renderer does in any DAW yet) or it's so cost-prohibitive.
