You could try a little drop of poppy oil in order to get a better paint flow,...also great for glazing.

Beautifully done! I'm just starting my art journey at 57 years of age and have learned so much from watching your videos. I do have a question as to what you use or would recommend in terms of an app/software that will help me turn my photos into clean line drawings to transfer to canvas. Kindly explain what advantage liquin has over linseed oil. Also For most of my previous works I've been using RAW linseed oil. It seems to work just fine too, thought there sometimes shiny spots or patches of oil that I've noticed on the final painting. Is that something i can look past?

As usual, you make this look so simple. Such beautiful realistic work, Michael. I do have a question/comment about your series 1/0 and 1/1 brushes. Both of mine have lost their tip. I don't think I am hard on them but they just didn't seem to hold up for long. Is there a way to recover the points so I can get the kind of strokes that you display? Your brushes seem stiff so you can just use the point my brushes seem soft and bend; do you just hold your brushes very softly or are they stiff?
