I shared this song with my dad before he died almost 5 years ago. He was crying at the lyrics, he was so moved by certain lines. He said it was one of the most beautiful and sorrowful songs he had heard in 30 years. He died within 2 weeks. The last song that touched him. I miss him. (Thank you the responses.) He was having a heart procedure the next day, already had filled out his PoA and will. He called friends crying the night before he died, he never called me or my sisters. I think he knew he was going to die and he couldn't tell us. I wish he would have. I have so many regrets. I'd give the world to hear him again. Feel the safety of having him hug me. Thank you to the 21 people who read about my dad. He really tried.

I had a similar experience with a new friend in college. We met in one of my classes and immediately started talking about everything. He was a budding young filmmaker and had just earned it apprenticeship what's Spike Lee! The last song we talked about was Jeremy by Pearl Jam. A haunting song in its own right, made all the more haunting for me oh, because the next day he was killed by a drunk driver. That memory will never not be associated with that song for the rest of my life. I'd only known him for scarcely a week before it happened. Still hurts.

This song has gripped me and given me such bliss. I've planned my suicide twice, once in 2007 and then again in 2018. I'm a father of 11 year old twin boys, I've struggled with addiction to hard drugs and somehow beat it before I had kids. My recent huge struggle has been with tobacco. I've been smoking since I was like 16. I'm 38 now. I quit cigarettes right before Covid, just a coincidence, but I still crave tobacco when I drink, so I started smoking cigars. Y'know, the 99 cents for a pack of two White Owls. The thing is, I inhale them way more than I should. Ever since this song and video got stuck in my head, I've started having this paranoid idea that I probably have lung cancer. For the past couple months I'd wake up early early in the morning with this song in my head, a pain in my chest and a fear in my heart. A fear that one day I'll suddenly not be here for my boys. If you ever happen to read this, I want you to know that it's this song you wrote, and also this video with it, that led me to put that shit down for good. I haven't smoked for about two weeks now, except for the green. I don't think I'll ever quit that, but that's only a two-toke bedtime thing. So, thank you, man. Thank you for making this. Thank everyone involved. I don't know how one song that got stuck in my head every morning for like 2 months changed my life, but I guess that's just how it works sometimes. Everything has its place and time, and somehow you just happened to put me on my way to the next thing I want to quit. Next stop is the beer. One step at a time, man.

Thank you for this comment. I wish I could bring myself to care about humanity again. All my life I have been taken advantage of and abandoned by people, lovers and friends, no matter how long we have known each other, those claiming me to be toxic and the problem in their lives. Earlier today I was watching the news on the web and learned that a ten (10) year old boy in Florida was reported by his father to the police that his son alleged to go to school and act out a shooting. A ten (10) year old boy, what in God's name is causing life threatening pain to a child at this age that would want to act out by 'going to school and cause a shooting?' What happened to playgrounds, tinker-toys, silly putty, Lego' blocks, rolling marbles, going fishing, riding one's bike and listen for the ice-cream truck's bell ringing? Our lives desperately need change back to simpler ways of living for our children's sake. Our children are our on-going future for generations to come. This video is powerful in what it may relate to those listening to it and watching the traumatic conflicts. Yet, it is inspiring! May God send more Angel's to advocate for all, one way or another.

I was severely depressed when I discovered this song. I was living life is such a negative way & I felt stuck in a loop of darkness. A year later and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. This song made the hard time a little less rough. Reminded me that I’m human and it’s normal to go through rough patches. But it also showed me that I had the strength within me to overcome it.

The first time I listened to this song was September 17, 2018. It was a bad time for me. I remember sitting on a makeshift roof, having climbed it with so much difficulty, at 4 in the morning. I listened to this song on loop till the sun came out. That was the first time I ever wrote and here's the poem I wrote that day: Cold Little Heart You win. Amidst the tyranny of my agony, I realize... My heart succumbs finally, To my guilt, or to your absence? Burdened by something, Is it your virtue or my sins? Even though the poets never stop singing about them. I'm just a simple girl, not a connoisseur. I don't have the wisdom or the knowledge to know good music from the sublime one. It's just that some tug at my heartstrings and some don't, even though they may be musically, far more superior. This song speaks to me, as simple as that.

Trish DeLish season 2 is clearly not as good as the first one. I think it’s pretty clear he did not die falling down the steps. He was probably pretty significantly injured but they probably all went down the stairs and put the boots to him to finish him off.
