Never thought I'd see Otto Von Bismark talking about stop motion animation.

Their was an old black and White Russian stop motion film called the new Guliver. It's perhaps the first full length stop motion film.

Very nice way of approaching this history lesson! Would you be able to do a tutorial on your approach to animating a blocking pass and then your next pass on 2s, or 1s? Basically how you reference one pass to the next. I’ve been doing blocking pop through passes with poses I like but I definitely have a harder time hitting those appealing poses I set up in my pop through. I tend to keep the previous pop through reference pass in the corner in Dragonframe to refer to. I know some people put theirs full scale with transparency and try to match to it but that is harder and more time consuming for sure- especially when doing subtle stuff. Thanks!

Do you think it's possible to eventually make a tutorial on how to make stop motion with live action on your own?
@MichaelParks4 жыл бұрын
Could happen. It's fun to do, but I use After Effects for compositing, and I know that not everyone can afford that.

An awesome history lesson, but I just want to aske if you knew about the Nike takeover of Vinton studios? And for the random comment reader yes, Nike the sport shoe company. And lastly what are your thoughts on the how William Gale Vinton's studio was basically robbed from him?
@MichaelParks2 жыл бұрын
I don't know all the details, but that was pretty brutal. Animation can certainly be a rough business, as Disney seems to buy studios and then close them, like Imagemovers Digital, Lucas Arts, and Blue Sky.

Hey your very good at this and the bugs stop motion are real bugs ?
@MichaelParks3 жыл бұрын
Those are real bugs (or so they say). I'm guessing parts of the bug were reproduced in another material, and armatures were added.

@rajatsisodiya4162 жыл бұрын
please help me out sir
@MichaelParks2 жыл бұрын
I used polymer clay (sculpy) on the head of the guy in this video, not not for anything else on the character. Hands need to be flexible. I don't think you could rig a puppet if it's baked hard. I have a tutorial on armature-making that gets into the process I use.
