There is an error in the calculation of S_φ x S_θ. In fact the middle value of the vector should be a^2 sin(θ)^2 sin(φ), not as stated. Fortunately the result is the same.

I think it is the sine of phi that is squared, right?

I got -a^2sin(theta)sin^2(phi) as the middle component.
