I’ve used Visible as a backup on a Galaxy phone. I’ve never had a limit on devices that can connect to the hotspot or a speed cap. However, when I use it on an iPhone, I do see the 5-10Mbps speed cap with no limit on devices that can connect.

The data speed con is only relevant with the $30 plan. The $45 plan gets the same data priority as Verizon's top postpaid plans for that 50GB as well as totally unlimited priority data on 5G UW. Are you talking about a cell phone insurance policy? It would depend on the provider of the policy. But if your phone stopped working, you may need to send it somewhere. I had a phone that I bought stop working while under the manufacturer warranty years ago and I was mailed a new one the next day. (This wasn't with Visible.) I don't know much about warranties. I typically don't purchase those and rely on free cell phone protection that my credit cards offer -- and a good phone case! Sorry I don't have a better answer -- maybe someone else will.

Also, if it's an iPhone, you can still bring the phone into the Apple Store just like with other carriers. Question. What is “premium data “? Thanks.
@MichaelSaves2 жыл бұрын
Sure! With Visible's base plan, your data is deprioritized. That means during times of traffic you'll get slower speeds than other Verizon customers. With Visible's premium plan, called Visible+, you get 50GB of premium data per month on the 5G Nationwide and 4G LTE networks. So when the network is busy, you won't be slowed down for the first 50GB! And when you're connected to 5G Ultra Wideband (the fastest 5G), you will always get priority data with Visible+. I do not have priority data -- I have the cheaper plan. My experience with Visible has been very good. But some people have complained about the slower speeds, so Visible+ may be a good choice for them.

Okay having any sort of truly unlimited data on a smartphone for $30 that also has unlimited hotspot is ground breaking but I would not go premium because the data allowance for premium is too little to be beneficial since the point of extra bandwidth is productivity. La-people don't understand how much data an iPhone actually uses because they are using mostly html based apps and iPhone by default is set to wifi only for high level apps and task like Facebook messenger,zoom and icloud . I had used over 1TB of data on a iPad from icloud and zoom while working CRM but I use a minimum of 300gb just zoom chatting friends but visible standard plan was able to do all of this. Visable temperately slowed down during the afternoon but has stoped being noticable since the network update. Overall Verizon based networks are the only networks I would trust because there is just inefficient peer review to at&t or T-Mobile when it comes to business and home business power usage exclusively on ipad cellular network .

Did I not have 5g UW with my 25 dollar plan or are they taking that away and now it’s only for the visible + plan?
@MichaelSaves2 жыл бұрын
With the $25/month plan, I believe you got 5G Ultra Wideband with speeds capped at 200 Mbps. I do not believe that has changed with the $30/month plan. I was told by Visible a 200 Mbps cap would stay, and most of my speed tests are below 200 Mbps so far. In addition, Visible says this on its website: "5G Nationwide + 4G LTE includes a combination of 5G Ultra Wideband, 5G Nationwide, and 4G LTE network services." With the 5G Ultra Wideband that you get with Visible+, it's not capped at 200 Mbps. I think that's the distinction. So the cheaper plan may get 5G UW that's capped as part of that "combination," but only the Visible+ plan gets the true 5G Ultra Wideband speeds. They probably did it this way for marketing purposes. For you, I would expect the $30 plan to be very similar to the plan you already have -- with the addition of the domestic roaming and lower ping. I hope this is helpful.
