Constructive Critism lang. Fan din ako ni Bitoy pero as a casual na nanonood ng movie, I'll be honest. Kaya nasabing tenbits yung movie kasi maraming scenes or jokes na isinisingit na masyadong babad tapos ang tagal sumuntok ng punchline. 2 hours yung movie pero may mga special characters na artista na sobrang ikli lang ng eksena sa movie. Hindi ganun kaganda yung plot ng movie, hilaw pa masyado yung storyline and pansin ko medyo awkward yung ibang scene. Hindi ganun nabigyan ng justice yung title given na 2 hours yung movie, kung talagang natapos yung movie, dapat ang ginawang title na lang is "HISTORY", eh since nilagyan ng "FAMILY" ang title, maraming scene tuloy ang hindi najustify. Overkill masyado yung mga pinasok na issue and I think may mga issue dito na mas maganda kung hindi na lang pinilit ilagay. Ayun lang. Sana mapansin at sana next movie maganda na. :)

OMG. Cancer: A Love Story? Nope, nope, nope. I don't have any issue with having a negative title as it is, but... within the context of the film, especially in the way everything plays out, it wouldn't work. Cancer is too "in your face" kind of title (something one would expect from a documentary), and the phrase right after the colon just feels... off and lacking in subtlety. I would really want to like this film! It's just that while I have no major umbrage on visuals, audio and acting, I had a massive difficulty getting immersed in the story; heck, I kept on pressing the pause button. I just thought some of the gags (mostly from the doctor scene) felt rather off, especially with the topic discussed at the time being that heavy. Regarding the scenes that lead to "46" while I found the verbal confrontation rather ridiculous, my friend found them really funny (and this was just me telling her what's happening at that time; she hasn't seen the film yet), so I guess I must've missed something (or I'm just too cynical to get the joke because of the supposed-to-be seriousness of that scene). I also find it hard to like the main character, Alex, not because he's a "sunshine and rainbows" kind of person but more on his mannerism of interrupting other characters while they were still talking. I get the point; I just think that was overdone. I did find the depiction of his degrading mental state a nice touch. And while I thought that his ungentlemanly acts near the end was just... unbecoming of his character (adding my further dislike for him), I guess it was justified what with everything he had gone through plus the alcohol running in his system. Unfortunately, that scene leading to where Malix ended up punching Alex in the face... there must be a much better way of handling that than Alex straight up mocking Jenna. I mean, Malix misunderstanding about the situation was enough; no need to fan the flame. Number 42, well, I would really be pissed if Dawn suddenly recovers because that would just be a big WTF to the story. 45... I agree; the seemingly open-ended way the movie concluded is good. I think the post-credit scene works well, too, though that would just make May's death at the end rather obvious instead of implied. All in all, I had earlier reservations prior to watching this vlog since some of the stuff you mentioned here were pretty much noticeable from the get-go and I didn't care much for the movie poster discussion (which is mostly meta information). Still, I'm glad to see this as it somehow put the film in a much better light. I'm just wondering: Why didn't you make this a straight light drama with a pinch of humor on the not-so-serious parts? *Sigh!* I'll take your word that most of the conversations depicted on the film were as faithful as how it transpired from the real inspiration (Number 7). Sorry for the lengthy comment.

Hehehe (I hope mabasa Rin....) agree po ako na sa una na off rin po talaga ako sa dami ng spices na gustong ilagay ni kuys sa Film... Somehow nakakabaliw, (which I take intentionally para madama natin nararamdaman ng main character) may part din sa'kin na medyo nahirapan sa time frames dahil sa POV ng mga characters, Parang naisip ko na challenge din Yung film na 'to sa kung paano mo susundan at mag co-conclude. I watched Family Histrory twice, una sa bus pauwing province (yes naiyak ako) kaya inulit ko nung available na sya sa Netflix (and yes naiyak na naman ako) the most touching part for me is ung kanta talaga na Bakit Ganon, at eto na nga..ano ba Sir Bitoy, napaiyak mo na naman ako sa ending ng vlog mo. Tagos kasi talaga, not because someone died pero sakto talaga sya tinamaan talaga ako because of my life experience. Grabe napaka taba ng utak nyo po talaga and you never fail to amaze me.
