That's interesting. Camille Rose has always given me great moisture but no hold. Either way, I have always said CR products were luxury quality at an affordable price. Sometimes expensive products are better ... and sometimes they're just expensive lol

I like how you touched on affordability and accessibility. I tried some Miche products last year when I ordered some of her products online for Black Friday and found while they have good quality ingredients that I did not get the moisture and hold I was looking for and while their products work I and my wallet prefer products I can get on the ground, especially because some of these online natural hair brands shipping be worth a whole nother product entirely. I am all about supporting a black business but amen I am moving toward doing so for some on the ground.

Thanks for the post but may I add the Camille Rose product used was the gel and it woud probably give different results. I'm thinking maybe the Camille Rose almond Jai twisting butter might be comparable to the Miche twisting butter. Just a thought

@@EishaTaylore hey let me suggest the Miche Bounce curl defining gel its a cream gel i use it with the leave in moisture OMG moisture and definition. You can even use it for a wash & Go

I like them both. The camille rose side did have a little more definition. I do like miche beauty too.

Great video!! The Camille rose side looked more moisturized and defined before she fluffed. After fluffing, the Camille Rose side still looked better to me. Miche side looked good too, CR just looked better. IMO

That Aloe Whipped Butter Gel is my new holy grail leave-in conditioner, yes it says it can be used as a leave-in. I can use this and an oil and have nice juicy twists however I think it does need another styler on top for me to really hold and mold my hair into place for lasting definition as its holding power for my density is more on the light to medium side. I used to love the Camille Rose Coconut Water leave-in but the Aloe Whipped Butter gel has more moisture my hair needs. I think it could also works well as the C in an LCO or LCB method.

There’s no comparison Miche is good for low porosity and protein sensitive hair. Camille rose with their rice and aloe vera leaves my hair drier than a desert. Never will use Camille rose if I want moisture

Phoebe Ayeni there’s more marshmallow root and slippery elm that help and I always add hibiscus powder to strengthen and moisturize even more then add my leave in (which also has marshmallow root) while I’m still in the shower this works amazing for me. I also have a q-redew steamer so everything penetrates and keeps my hair soft. Camille Rose’s products center around aloe vera and coconut so all her products dry my hair out. I’ve also tried pure aloe vera which dried it out horribly.

@@scentualempress omg thank you for this thorough response. My hair also hates aloe Vera and coconut oil so I was shying away from marshmallow root thinking it will have the same effect. Now I know that it won’t, I’ll be looking for products with it. Does your hair do well with extracts e.g nettle leaf extract, sugar maple extract?

Phoebe Ayeni marshmallow root and slippery elm provide amazing slip as well. My hair is stubborn so it doesn’t like anything too heavy or everything that’s popular. It does ok with some extracts I haven’t seen anything significant for me to be wowed tho. The Q-redew is handheld as opposed to sitting under the steamer

This was a good side by side. I hear so much about Miche being so moisturizing but Camille Rose is the moisture Queen. I don’t really like ordering my products online either

I think the camilla rose side looked the best because it looked fuller and more defined. However I have tried Camilla rose products and I find them drying. The Jal twist butter doesn't do anything either it just smells nice. So very surprised it even came out looking the way it did on your hair. I have ordered Miche Beauty sample pack and waiting to try it out. Only thing I notice it has Aloe Vera in it which my hair doesn't like. What a hair life. Sigh!!!!

The comparison is unfair because Camille Rose Aloe Butter is a Twist Cream and Miche is a Butter. Therefore, their ingredients will be different and result different!
