Hello… I cut them 7” in length. You can always trim the length afterwards if needed. Also, the rope I used is linked in the description. 🤗

How do you keep the top part of the rope from drooping down

Hello: You can finger comb the rope...but, it will never stay perfectly vertical. It will tilt to the side. The key is to make sure the tassels are not too long. I hope that helps. xo, Michele

I finger comb them. But, they will never totally stand up perfectly. Also, be sure they aren’t too long. That will make a difference 🤗

Hi Michele. I just finished this project. I had so much fun making it. Do you have a tip or trick to keep the tassels on the top from slumping down?

Hi Sandy: Thanks for letting me know you made the mirror! That's so cool!!! The tassels will never stay up perfectly. I finger comb mine in position. I like the look of them not being perfect. That's my style. Also, One big tip...make sure you your tassels aren't too long. That will definitely make them top-heavy. You can give them a trim if you want. I hope that helps! Hi Lorna: The finished size really depends on the length of your tassels. I use a 12" wreath base and the tassels are added to that. All my supplies are linked in the description. xo, Michele
