Brilliant,caring First Lady Michelle Obama graduated Salutatorian of her High School, with Honors from Princeton, and from Harvard Law School herself. She is an excellent choice in a Commencement speaker. Virginia Tech was blessed! Everyone loved the First Lady's speeches at West Point and at Spelman last year, too. Great comment by Phalinex. Because if there were no republicans things would all be great. That's right. We don't need a split or a balance or folks to keep each other in check. I think there's a name for that type of political system.

Your statement contradicts itself in so many ways. Yes it is true that the education is messed up, but the purpose of the system is to educate people and help them find a fitting role in society. The system is fine, it's the people in the system that are messing it up. But wait, this is youtube, I'LL JUST USE CAPS LOCK TO GIVE AWAY A POINT WITHOUT PROOF OR ANYTHING!!! That should do it.

I don't recall speaking of the american dream. And I can clearly see it didn't work for you either. You do state a good point, it only takes good people to not do anything for bad people to succeed. But that just proves my point don't you think? The education system isn't perfect, that's true, but it is fine, it has the potential to work perfectly if the people in it didn't mess it up, and that means EVERYONE, from students and parents to state officials.

Except that, at least at VT, interviews and recruiting are at a 5 year high, w/many majors reporting 80% or more of their students w/offers in hand. Most in the science, business and engineering fields, but they are not alone. You obviously haven't read the reports that the 2012 class is experiencing an uptick in interviews, offers, and a bump in starting salaries. But no, it's easier just to get on youtube and post a driveby comment.
