People should understand, Michelle was Barak's boss/mentor in the beginning. After the love affair, she supported his ambitions. This conversation was legendary for so many reasons: 1. Most young people are so disconnected from their elders due to social media limiting the idea of people practicing interpersonal skills. 2. Most older people are so critical of younger people and their poor choices and poor communication skills. 3. We live in a generation of time that rarely caters to the importance of the idea of having a healthy tribe.4. People rarely still value the important simple things in life.

It was at the end when Michelle says she's always been this way and known since a little girl is SO inspiring to me that I literally cried. Because some of us have that voice inside us who know we're going to make an impact but those around us may not be able to see it, which makes you out yourself and think that you are being conceited or thinking too highly of yourself. But this woman has literally become the first Black woman in history to be the first Lady and to think that it started with TRUE self belief -not just the "we all got this" is powerful. It took me two days to get through this video. Several moments had me ready to cry; both Barak and Michelle Obama have inspired me in more ways than I can ever express, Madame Michelle especially, and I'm forever thankful to God for them. I was 8 years old when they entered the White House, and they were the first political figures I was ever exposed to and the first people aside from my parents to show me leadership. Now, it wasn't until their second term that I began to grasp just what them being there meant for the country and to me, though once I did, my life and worldview changed: on leadership, on civic engagement, on how to create change, and eventually on relationships, too. Seeing Madame Michelle share her life and connect with people through her platform and regardless of it captivates my heart and inspires me; I hope and aspire to do the same for others ❤

I disagree. She is intelligent and articulate and charismatic. But she needs to stop interrupting. Minutes 19-21 were difficult for me when all I could hear was Angie’s loud voice interrupting. We women get excited when we are SEEN and HEARD but we must learn to curb the enthusiasm and give everyone their turn to talk. It’s one of my pet peeves. I love that I bumped into this conversation because it validated feelings I’ve had for a very long time. When I get interrupted and my facial expression reveals that it bothers me, people get offended. But they’re the ones who slipped up! So why should I care too much about their reaction? If they value me and my preferences, why not honor them so the friendship can continue? Why should I be the one who suffers because I revealed vulnerability and asked to be respected just as I respect you? That’s when I realized this is not a true friend.

When she talked about her father.I damn sure could relate.Fathers are needed and the power they have on us is immeasurable. If there's one thing I wish from the bottom of my heart is that my kinds can have a good and present father. When it comes to parenting this's the most important thing to me.

I really enjoyed this conversation with our former first lady. The wisdom of this woman is impeccable; I would literally be watching Michelle speak and she would have my total undivided attention. Even with Mrs. Knowles and the other women you can see how much they all respect and admire her. Thank you Revolt for such an amazing interview with such powerhouse women.

I’m so happy for segments like. I don’t have older women in my life… my mom died when I was 3 and so it’s really nice to hear these women discuss these important “inner growth” topics

I see everyone is talking about the LOW views… I love the positive and real conversations… I understand that if these women were arguing and calling each other names this podcast would be “viral”… but because this is not what society and media want people to believe we really are this won’t be on Main stream media….these conversations are real and what I go through…this particular segment was awesome and I can totally relate 🙏🏾

33:44 Ms Tina! I’m so glad she said this. So many children watch the example of what their parents do and live their lives and not what they say. She is accountable and humble as a parent 🙏 Thank you Mam

Gosh! There aren’t enough words in the English language to express what I’m feeling after watching this. I’ve sent this clip to several girlfriends because it felt to me, like such a pure and full depiction of womanhood and just being human! So many layers to unpack but the most striking thing was the power of authenticity, of vulnerability, of having a sense of community and not being afraid to share the light we carry. All of these women are leaders in their own right and have shared invaluable lessons with us. I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy of “The Light we Carry”. Thank you aunty Michelle for being who you are and allowing us to do the same

I'm so surprised that Michelle is speaking such real, conservative ideas in practice of her personal life. I'm glad I watched this video and heard such truth and honest values from some one so many look to as an example. It actually gives me hope for the future. It just proves the importance of listening to each other and finding our commonality, not demonizing and viewing others as unqualified to speak just because of party lable. If we are ever going to address real problems we must learn how to hear past party lines & appreciate the humanity of each other. The Press really is a machine that manipulates the reality of our humanity. Thank you for sharing this round table. 🥰

I love the post White House Michelle Obama!!! I'm so happy and thankful that she is being so open with us🤗 I really wish she would do a podcast, or a show where she sits down with people and has more of these conversations. I'm excited about her books, but being able to hear her voice and emotions in an open conversation format is pure magic 🌠 💫

Revolt, THANK YOU. Thank you for realizing/envisioning how important this piece of content could be for us and thank you for lending your platform to a second to none execution in this fire ass production of incredible women. Leaving this dialogue, I feel seen as an upcoming GREAT. I feel valued and affirmed. I feel inspired and invigorated. I feel risky and tenacious. I feel hella thankful to Angie, Winnie, Ms. Tina, Kelly, Gabby & Ms. Michelle. I feel included in the fabric of hip hop culture the way I did when I watched Lyte, Queen, YoYo, Rage & Monie on the scene and got to pick which version of feminine greatness I wanted to resemble in this culture. Just thank you. Thank you thank you thank you.

Michelle Obama should keep doing conversations like this with a different set of women every time. Even an everyday woman. Sistas...all shapes, shades and backgrounds. This was pure perfection. Just seeing this amongst women. The maturity.. The lack of toxicity that people like to keep in the forefront. This is amazing. I'm grateful to have witnessed it

Ok I love this and I feel like we need this talk with black women at least twice a year. I love Angie Martinez. Michelle looks young with braids, she should have worn them more but loved all the messages being our therapist. Winnie is gorgeous just listening, mama yonce is always so regal, Kelly is so pretty and sweet always have loved her, Gabriel is growing into her own and we are proud of our princess.

WOW....Everyone on this panel was amazing. Ms. Angie I loved how you guided this conversation and asked the questions that provided so much knowledge. I saw myself in Kelly, Winnie, and H.E.R. I feel like I was given a road to navigate this world as a black woman. Ms. Tina you are a great example of just keep living life. It is wonderful to see what life looks like in the future. And to Mrs. Obama ( call me Michelle 😊) you and your family have impacted EVERYONE. The grace and beauty that was shown during the 8 years in office (and to present day) allowed black families to be viewed in a positive light. The aspirations that were created when we were able to see the impossible (a black family in the White House). I cried tears of joy, tears of pride. I just want to thank each of you for showing that black don't have to always be STRONG.
