Exactly. I hate when people say family is everything. It’s good that people have good family members, but sometimes family ain’t shit and it’s just the case for some people unfortunately. And Abby didn’t even try to turn her against her mom, she was probably telling her that her mom’s choices could get them off the team . Simple .

Lydia King by saying she can’t dance for Abby and she won’t pick Abby over her and this and that. She’s not “picking” she’s trying to live her dream and her mom is trying to pressure a 12 year old to pick her mother and give up her dream when she could dance and her mother could just shut up
@lydiaking3225 жыл бұрын
Kristen Miller but she’s still dancing for Abby, she didn’t make her leave. Abby is the one making her choose. Abby blew a situation that wasn’t a big deal out of proportion for the show. At the end of the day Michelle pays Sarah’s tuition, so dream or not you show you’re mother the respect she deserves. Michelle understands that Sarah wants to dance for Abby for whatever reason and she’s allowing her to do so, while being treated like she is less than for her kid.
@kristenmiller88675 жыл бұрын
Lydia King i agree with this but I feel like respect works both ways. Michelle didn’t respect Abby saying don’t come to me again with any studio drama. She did. She said don’t come to the studio you can’t come. She took her daughter anyway. She was told not to go to the competition. Did anyway. She didn’t respect anything either and that’s how she got into this mess. If she could have just focused on their team and not the other studio drama and minded her own business and not take it to Abby like she was told it wouldn’t even be a thing. Ya know?

“A Dream is one thing but a family is everything” Yeah right. Says the woman who took their daughters words out of proportion, yelled at their own daughter for nothing, and added more stress to the daughter. The lady should be proud of her daughter. This show is for the kids, and yet these moms always have something to start. You don’t have to have a strong family to get high with your dreams. You need a strong social circle. People you can depend on. If family treats you like crap, screw them. You can find better people that treat you more like family than they ever will.
@nevermindmyname8132 жыл бұрын
It's like parents aren't allowed to set boundaries, keep their child in check, or act like a parent at all without you idiots online crying about it. Yes she yelled at her kid. She was setting boundaries because she is right, she shouldn't listen to an abusive dance teacher over her own mother. There is literally nothing out of line about that.
@MsJubjubbird Жыл бұрын
you shouldn't just cut family off because you disagree with them. Deep relationships with unconditional love are not easy to replace. But this woman is blowing things out of proportion. The child is doing a dance on her own for a few hours, not filing for emancipation. It's just extremely confronting for mothers of daughters this age- especially if they live vicariously through them- when the daughter says for the first time that they don't want their mother by their side and they're going to make their own decision.

You can love your mother with all your heart (which sarah clearly does) AND still pursue your dream. right? the whole time all i could think was how much it would suck to have a parent who is that narcissistic.
@shelbyj14335 жыл бұрын
@Evienne Revelus it's narcissistic because even though she is the parent and could simply tell her daughter that they need to move to a new studio, she is letting her immature daughter make the choice and then gaslighting and guilt tripping her for it. obviously a child isn't going to make a completely objective and selfless choice, it's up to the parent to step in and make the correct ones. but instead this mother would rather continue to let her daughter make the wrong choices and then try to make her daughter feel like she is victimizing HER which is totally wrong. she has the power to end it but she would rather fight with her daughter and pity herself over it.
@sarahfranklin72085 жыл бұрын

@nevermindmyname8132 жыл бұрын
Y'all are too much. There was nothing toxic about it. If Michelle didn't put her foot down, a precedence would have been set that it's okay for Sarah, a child, to disrespect her mother in favour of Abby. And it's not okay. Michelle was right. Michelle has taken time out of her life away a possible career and her family and her marriage to do this for Sarah, and at the end of the day, a mother's word trumps that of a dance teacher and the child needs to know that. And don't act dumb pretend like Michelle's fears are so far fetched. We watched years of Abby trying to turn kids against their mothers. Chloe, especially, and she made many remarks to Nia and even Kalani about their moms. And how about how she tried to isolate Maddie from everyone in her life? And look at how Kendall treated her mom in favour of "keeping the peace." Michelle didn't do absolutely anything wrong.

I don't know if this was edited for drama's sake or if she actually did this.....but I think Michelle crossed the line here. Yolanda makes an excellent point. They left....they were dismissed....if she didn't like how Abby was teaching her daughter, she shouldn't have brought Sarah back. (which I'm sure this is probably because they are under contract and COULDN'T leave) Sarah didn't make her stay in the balcony. Sarah didn't make her stay out of the dressing room at competition.....Abby did that. She brought Sarah to Abby so that Sarah could dance on the competition team and that is all Sarah was doing. She was learning her solo. She told her Mom to leave so that Abby wouldn't get mad at her again and throw her off the team. If Michelle had a problem with the dance, she should have gone to Abby in private, like a mature adult and dealt with Abby. It was unfair of her to blame a child for something that she had absolutely no control over.
