34 years old now and this always brings me back to 2002. 1. Spider-Man by Sam Raimi came out 2. Star Wars Episode II followed soon after 3. Chamber of Secrets too 4. The Lakers won their 3rd straight Championship 5. Ronaldo led Brazil to the FIFA World Cup 6. Everyone's still reeling from 9/11 7. Linkin Park was at its peak 8. Britney Spears vs Christina Aguilera was the pop star rivalry

Michelle Branch was our Olivia Rodrigo. Michelle even inspired Taylor Swift and kicked the door down for artists like Avril to follow with big success. Michelle is a queen and a pioneer of 2000s female singer-songwriters 👑

I've held the belief as well. Heard her first in one of the American Pie Movies; the Spirit Room was beyond comprehension. I grew up with Pat Benatar; it was quite a drought between her, with few solid performers in-between. Michelle Benatar? : )
@mattt62012 ай бұрын
Except Michelle wrote far more wholesome lyrics. She has hits about longing for a man she misses and saving them from their struggles with loneliness. That would be frowned upon nowadays, so the others write about leaving guys in the dust…
@notyoaveragesouthernmama57342 ай бұрын
@@mattt6201 Goodbye to You was one of Michelle’s first songs she ever wrote, clearly different from how you depict her. “Are You Happy Now?” would also beg to differ, as well as her critically acclaimed album Hopeless Romantic. Michelle is not a monolith. Does she have wide-eyed love songs? Yes. Does she also have some awesome kiss-offs? Definitely.

There's this specific sound from the late 90s to early 2000s that hits you with pure nostalgia and it feels so good but its also so painful. Michelle. My name is Kyle. I'm completely blind in both eyes, and I am partially deaf. I grew up listening to your music, I'm now 23 years old. I really love listening to the sound of your voice. Just the sound of your voice puts me to sleep. I suffer from a disease called Norrie's syndrome, which caused my blindness and hearing loss. I have been blind all my life, but gradually started to lose my hearing at age 12. At 19, my hearing got so bad I had to get hearing aids. I am totally deaf without my hearing aids, so I am worthless without them! I love you Michelle, and I wish I could hug you! When I was little I called you my sister! I was just a baby when you started your career, well like 4. But still. I feel like you've been a big part of my life even though I never met you. I always dreamed of meeting you and giving you a big hug! I'm not a normal person at all, I'm blind, hearing impaired, and I have autism. But I still get around, and I am currently looking for work. Well heading to bed it's late. I love you Michelle! Hugs!

2023 and still in love with this song ❤ Turn it inside out so I can see The part of you that's drifting over me And when I wake you're, you're never there But when I sleep you're, you're everywhere You're everywhere Just tell me how I got this far Just tell me why you're here and who you are 'Cause every time I look, you're never there And every time I sleep, you're always there 'Cause you're everywhere to me And when I close my eyes, it's you I see You're everything I know, that makes me believe I'm not alone I'm not alone I recognize the way you make me feel It's hard to think that you might not be real I sense it now, the water's getting deep I try to wash the pain away from me Away from me 'Cause you're everywhere to me And when I close my eyes, it's you I see You're everything I know, that makes me believe I'm not alone I'm not alone I am not alone When I touch your hand It's then I understand The beauty that's within It's now that we begin You always light my way I hope there never comes a day No matter where I go I always feel you so 'Cause you're everywhere to me And when I close my eyes, it's you I see You're everything I know, that makes me believe I'm not alone 'Cause you're everywhere to me And when I catch my breath It's you I breathe You're everything I know, that makes me believe I'm not alone You're in everyone I see So tell me Do you see me? ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Isaiah 65:12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not. 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. @Click Here for Show It To Others TV You know what? I really do hate all you self-righteous Evangelical Christians. You're not bringing anyone to God. You're driving them away with your Bible banging pulpit banging sermonizing. I was raised a Christian. I'm about to become a full blown atheist because of how much I loathe all you non-Christian "Christians." Get over yourself. Your judgmental attitude just drives people away from Christianity, rather than inspiring them to want to become one. Especially all the shit about sending people to Hell for whatever sin you think they committed. Maybe you think that's a perfect way to bring non-Christians to Christianity. It's not. I don't want to be part of any religion where your God punishes me by throwing my soul into the fires of Hell if we don't worship him correctly. Not. A. Strong. Selling. Point. And it's not very Christ-like of you. When I read the Bible? I don't recall that Jesus threatened anyone with Hell fire and damnation like you seem intent on. Get over yourself dood. It's just a song. (And how do you know for sure it's about a person? It could be about God, depending upon how you listen to it and interpret it.)

Same I really started to listen to classic rock and metal at age 13 (I'm 26 btw) but before 00s pop was my everything this is way better than what zoomers are jamming man ps I was a 6 7 year old but man Radio Disney/Disney Channel had bangers Michelle Branch Vanessa Carlton Cheetah Girls Hillary Duff Yellowcard NSYNC Backstreet Boys Spice Girls All American Rejects is so nostalgic I wish I could've grown up with Zeppelin Sabbath and Metallica (who I discovered during my high school years as my baby boomer parents weren't rock fans much) sooner but that 00s pop is still nostalgic and take me back man I miss being a kid
