I watched Elise and Phillip at the time,and thought it was the best duet I have heard, and I think that Elise's voice is great and so unique she should have come in a better place than 6th. I could listen to her all the time.

Elise does divide opinions...I for one enjoy listening to her voice more than almost anyone elses during that season...i do agree that the technical aspects of it she needed to work on but that rasp, the tone, and that vibrato at the end of her phrases are the reason why i'm revisiting her after all these years.

ja8ames I wouldn't say crazy good...because as i mentioned she needed to tighten up her pitch but i know what you mean by that...that rasp just draws me in. I was shocked that 4 years later I remember a contestant that didn't even make it to the semifinals of a singing show i don't even watch anymore. that says a whole lot.

ja8ames no i meant the semis...like the second to last show...and as much as i agree with you...it didn't bother me, i think justice was served this season specifically because the people that did end up going all the way had such good pitch as well as interesting voices...i think if she was pitch perfect, she could have won it. like i just rewatched the "somebody that i used to know" duet cover with Phillip Phillips and you could clearly see where she fell short and where Phillip triumphed.

I absolutely agree with ALL of YOU - Phillip totally needs to win... This is so hilarious... I was clearing my phone because I still had one thing on my calendar from January and I was like what the heck would I've kept...January 19th it says, "Phillip Phillips next American Idol" I'm guessing that must've been the date he first appeared! I loved him then, I just love him now! I wish my phone was a US line I'd be voting for him!!! I'll be so broken hearted tonight if he's NOT in the FInal 2!!
