I work (behind the scenes) for Cirque du Soleil, and doing the same thing day in and day out can quickly become a slog, just like any other job. I needed to find this video when I did to remind myself why I do what I do. To see the magic again through someone else's lens gets me excited again. Thank you, Michelle, and well done (also, I used to work at KA and never heard the story Jonathan told. I'm gonna have to ask around about it).

I couldn’t have loved this more! As a trapeze instructor who has trained over 10,000 people to fly on the trapeze and had Channing Tatum play me in a film about my teaching, I can only tell you that the Trapeze isn’t about holding on, it’s about letting go of what keeps you from flying. Stress, tension, fear, control issues, etc. Once you let go of what is holding you back in life, you’re free to soar! Congratulations on yet another great video!

Circuses, especially women's circuses have been the most accepting artistic spaces I've experienced! I have zero physical background and started relatively late (mid 20s) but still got a lot. My act turned out to be stage magic - my childhood passion - and I really got into contortion! (But only early stages before COVID stopped all training). as someone who watched second hand my families legacy of ringling bros grow and die, this video made me really emotional. i’ve always been a gymnast, dancer, and theater performer and the saying about the sawdust changing your life is true. i can never get enough skill sets, dances, performances. thank you for sharing this experience

Truly mind-blowing what they achieve to do every single night! I also felt so welcomed into a world I had never known much of before. Thank you, Michelle and all of the team behind the scenes.

The circus used to set up behind my house when I was a kid. I used to always sneak backstage and hang out with all of the performers. It is one of my most cherished childhood memories. I got to feed and pet tigers, ride an elephant, and be around some of the most amazing people I've ever known. I regret not being able to officially join them, but I always think about them fondly and hope they are all doing well. I'm glad you got to experience this. ^-^

The sawdust is real. Growing up I was in a local youth circus, kind of like a football team. I moves out a couple years ago and currently can't do any circus stuff. So when I say the sawdust is real I mean that whatever that feeling is it brought me to tears just watching this, remembering what it feels like ot have that community and to have that moment on stage that just stays with you

You inspire me so much to not give up and you are so talented you can do anything with just a bit of training, and you give such encouraging words. Even when people fail you still are proud of them, you push yourself and others to achieve your/their goals.

I know what you mean. It’s like pride of knowing that in this world, there is someone who takes on challenges, gets back up whenever they are knocked down, and tries again and again till they get something done. It’s beautiful knowing that there are people out there like that, because it truly isn’t easy, being able to push through challenging or difficult things. It’s courage, bravery, adventure, and someone’s willingness to try and learn everything that is so beautiful to see. So yes, the tearing up definitely understandable. I did too.
