Hi! Congrats on the job leaving! I love what you said-get rid of things that don’t serve you. So wise. A year ago I reduced my sugar input to 25g of added sugar (which is the recommended daily allowance). I quickly was able to count my added sugar on one hand. Huge health benefits! I lost weight (too much, as I am naturally very tiny), I feel better, and my sugar reduction spurred my husband to reduce his-and his A1C and sugar came down from pre-diabetic to normal. And yes, we cheat on occasion but even that is much less often.

I got a load of laundry folded/put away after work. Getting your TO-DO list done is always a terrific feeling. Your videos always inspire me to stay productive and tackle my tasks with enthusiasm. They remind me of the satisfaction of accomplishing even goals. Watching them motivates me to keep pushing forward and making the most of each day. Staying productive not only helps with immediate tasks but also builds discipline and time management skills that benefit you in the long run. It creates a sense of accomplishment that can boost your confidence and encourage a positive mindset. Over time, this consistent productivity can lead to personal growth and achieving larger life goals. Having the house deep cleaned is always a great feeling! I bet putting those couch covers back on was a fun time as I struggled to get them on.❤❤❤

I did the 16:8 version of intermittent fasting. This allowed me to eat pretty much whatever that I wanted to within my 8 hour eating window followed by 16 hours of fasting. I am not the type of person who will stick to a diet if it means that I have to give up certain foods. I find that, like with pretty much anything in life, when you are told that you cannot have something it only serves to make you want it even more. I did this 16:8 intermittent fasting for about 5 months and combined that with daily walking either on the treadmill or outdoors (weather permitting) and I lost almost 60 pounds. Now within my 8 hour eating window I loosely kept track of what I was eating and my caloric intake because obviously even though there are really no restrictions on the types of foods you can eat during this period of time, you cannot just sit down and eat constantly or consume vast amounts of calories. Another thing that I personally found to be super helpful was to put snack types of foods into a bowl. For example, if a bag of cheese curls says it has X number of calories in X number of cheese curls, I would put that exact number of cheese curls into a bowl knowing that when they were gone that was it for that time period. If I were to instead bring the entire bag of cheese curls to the couch and sit down to watch TV, while I might fully intend to eat only X number of them, I would find myself eating more. And even though I knew in my mind that I could just go to the kitchen and refill the bowl once the initial number were eaten, I never did. I also found that in only bring X number of them with me in a bowl, it made me more conscious and intentional about slowing down and enjoying them rather than just mindlessly putting my hand into the bag repeatedly.

My "word" for this year is intentional. I'm only allowing things in my house/life that serve me well😊. It's January 23rd and I still haven't taken my Christmas village down, it's on my list to do this weekend LOL

Hey hey! I did a blood test through LifeForce and it was awesome. The results did a breakdown of what supplements I should be taking and showed my metabolic age, as well as results for all my hormone levels. This was a COMPLETE FULL PANEL. It tested everything. My favorite part was it suggested what type of diet I should be eating for optimal health. It said I’d do best on a Mediterranean diet, which was interesting as we did the genealogy tests a few years ago and I showed a heavy percentage of my family background being from Spain. I highly recommend it!

I scan almost everything with the Yuka app. I'm focused on the additives that are in the foods. Such as the additives that are dangerous for us. I've lost weight since doing that. I think I've lost about 10 pounds so far. My son's father already has stage 4 cancer. I'm doing all I can to keep from ❤encouraging that cancer cell to activate in me. My son is 13 and needs at least one parent around. I plan in being that parent

I personally think that the thing about leaving a full-time job with a steady income to only do KZbin is that the money you earn by making videos is truly out of your control and there is no guarantee of making a specific amount of money each month. Now being that you have been doing this as a side hustle for approximately 4+ years is that you know how much money your channel is earning on average. And obviously with any outside job, they don't come with any guarantees either as people are let go, companies shut down, they get bought out by other companies, etc. I don't do KZbin but I have heard different content creators talk about it and the various ways in which income is generated ~~ through adsense, the number of subscribers you have, the number of views that a video receives, how many minutes of a video someone is actually watching, how many likes or comments it gets, etc. And it seems to me that pretty much all of these various things are completely out of your control. I have also read comments being left by viewers across the board on different commentary type websites that they are cutting way back on how much content that they are consuming online. They feel that over time the content just becomes stale and it is essentially the same thing on repeat from one video to the next. And I know that I can totally relate to that and I can see the overall lack of interest in videos when you go in and see how many subscribers a specific channel has and then look at how many views their videos are getting on average ~~ it tends to be a fairly small percentage on average. So number of subscribers doesn't seem to correlate to the number of video views. I have heard another KZbin creator talk about leaving her full-time job when the income that she generates from making videos is essentially equal to her full-time paycheck. And while that makes some sense to me I also find myself thinking ~~ if you are earning money from a full-time job (whatever that job happens to be) and you are also earning money from the videos you are creating on KZbin and you then make the decision to leave your job, you are back to earning only one income rather than have multiple streams of income that you have become accustomed to. I definitely wish you nothing but the best and I hope everything works out the way you want it to.
@MichelleOMalley7119 күн бұрын
Like with any business that you own, there are many things out of your control. But even having a corporate job, getting laid off is also out of your control. Subscribers, likes and comments don't directly make you any money on KZbin. There is a lot that goes into it when you treat it as a business opposed to hobby. Multiple income streams are great until you hit a breaking point and realize there is no amount of money you can make that will make you happy if you are unfulfilled. I definitely chose the path less traveled.
@pinkpeonies20259 күн бұрын
@@MichelleOMalley711 I agree that with any business there are things that are completely out of your control. If you work for someone there is always the possibility of layoffs, businesses closing, company buyouts, etc. If you own your own business there are times when things are slow (I used to sell on both eBay and Poshmark and there were times that sales would be down and I wouldn't make as much income as other months). And while I do agree that subscribers, likes, and comments do not directly tie into the money you make on KZbin, these things definitely factor into the KZbin algorithm which in turn can impact the revenue you earn. If people view and like the videos you post it tells KZbin that people are actively interested and therefore their algorithm will push your video out so more people will potentially view it and more ads will get seen. If you get comments it shows engagement which also feeds into the KZbin algorithm. So while you may not be directly paid for these things, I do strongly believe there is at least some correlation. And I do think it is why so many content creators encourage viewers to like, subscribe, and leave comments on their videos. So many content creators that I watch don't even like or actively respond to comments or questions that are left on their videos which in my mind makes it seem almost like they don't truly care what people's thoughts and questions are. I am not saying this about you personally, but overall lack of engagement between the creator and the viewers seems to be an increasing trend not only here on KZbin but on other social media platforms as well.
@MichelleOMalley7119 күн бұрын
@@pinkpeonies2025 It can help the algorithm to get more likes, and comments but at the end of the day no one really has the 'algorithm codes'. I've studied it all and the key is to produce good, authentic content from the heart. If you go into it chasing likes and comments you will never get ahead. If a youtuber is only relying on adsense to make money then they should explore more income avenues. Views and watchtime are important, I can't control it and will never be able to. If you focus more on the content rather than the outcome, then you are likely to do better. As far as people not responding to comments, I'm sure everyone is different. As for me, I have to be mentally ready to look because there are some "opinions" that come through that may get me down and impact my day. But most people I am always appreciate of!
