Awesome job filming. The best part of bowhunting is the low low's and the high highs! That's why we do what we do. If anyone could do it, it wouldn't be a challenge. Hang in there, I have an 11 year old daughter watching you. Her name is Sydney and you are really inspiring her.

That's hunting.....the highs and lows. Seeing deer, turkey, snake, etc. Taking a deer is great....but love the footage of deer playing and dis-intrested buck, etc. We've all been there....when you hit a branch, or you lean out and binoculars get in way of string. I missed an opportunity cause there was water in my peep sight. So I practice shooting, eying beside my peep (15-20) yards. Or flick water out of peep sight. Always practice w your geer... and draw bow in your stand to prepare. Learn to laugh at your mistakes and don't let it get to you. I know blind people who have never seen a sunset, or a sunrise. Thank God for your health and opportunities. My son Austin Crocker is camera man for Robert Arrington. I took him hunting since he was in diapers....lol....he does it full time now. God bless...Matt Crocker

Your video sums up my season pretty good. I also went through a missed shot during archery and lots of frustration. Saw turkeys and deer I couldn't shoot. I know the frustration very well at this point. This is awesome footage that reminded me why I chose to spend so much time in the woods this fall. Thanks for sharing! And good luck to you both.

Live and learn. Hunting is full of errors and bad luck. I've hunted for 48 years. I've lost count of the ones that got away. That makes success so much sweeter. The dogs were a real spoiler. Once I had a 9 point bedded 50 yards from my stand. It was down for the afternoon when I started hearing noises down the mountain. Soon I could hear voices and see them through the trees. All of a sudden one of them starts playing a TUBA, yes a tuba, then a drum and trumpet join in. Turns out to be a local college marching band on a camping trip. The deer didn't stick around. I was about as upset as you but now it's a funny memory. Stay strong, young one.

Good video! Advice from an old man.... if it's daylight and the rut..... DON'T leave your bow in the tree. Walking in and out, you never know when you'll see a buck cruising. I carry my bow during that time of year, while checking trail cameras mid day. I got a doe a couple years ago doing that. I was changing my camera position and along came a doe. Smoked her! Keep your head up, there's always things that happen bowhunting! Best of luck!!!

Yea I agree except I want to film it and im not going to tear all my camera gear down every time. I usually sit all day in the rut but this time I didnt have enough food to do that lol

I am not a turkey hunter but that bird looks huge! Only 1/3 way though but love the footage of what you have so far I swear your a deer magnet. It's hard to imagine of a time where you hunted everyday for your food can you imagine being able to do this everyday for life? Lastly it's great just seeing nature on your videos it set's you apart from all others who are concerned with flying in to a Iowa airport and shooting a huge buck in the comfort of a high rise stand that they didn't spend anytime scouting..

That was pretty honest video, I am kinda tired of outdoor shows that go to virgin ground and guide plops them in the perfect spot and they slay a monster, I guess its not entertaining to watch hunting 60 days and just getting a few opportunities at a decent buck. Good luck on the remainder of your season success will be sweeter after all those challenges.

I know next time I’m going to make sure my cams are clear. This has been my hunt all year long in lower West MI... Random sightings, unprepared shots (not you just not all the way fitted in a tree stand), and not a single buck call response except for does... Bummers, it's a "learning" year for several of us West Michigan folks... Hoping 2nd rut or late archery shows some promise.
